*motions to entrance of salty spittoon*
This is obviously fake. One does not simply travel through the tall grass.
@Startled Bear, could've been using Repel
@Sexy Homunculus, You've ruined it for me
@CommunistMoose, I've been watching speed runs, and apparently in the original Pokemon games, certain grass tiles have a 0% chance of generating encounters (if you notice the 4 dots that make up a grass tile, one is different and therefore it won't generate an encounter). Games Done Quick is the charity speed run live stream I watch that has a few Pokemon speed runs. They have a YouTube channel that they upload the runs to afterward.
@Startled Bear, actually I walked around for a good 30 seconds or so playing Pokemon Red today.
Yeah! I've been rewatching Chuck lately. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it
@Petersquatch, so good
@Petersquatch, I fûcking love Chuck but none of my friends will believe me when I recommend it
@Petersquatch, guys i know kung fu
@Petersquatch, I absolutely love Chuck, watched it religiously when it was on tv and have every season on DVD, but the fifth season was an awful ending to series. So many better ways it could have gone.
The fact that none of his Pokemon are poisoned is the real miracle here
That's actually a speed running strat. If you stay on the grass tiles with a little flower on the bottom right, your chances of running into a Pokemon are severely reduced.
Chuck gif... I approve.
I just replayed Pokemon gold, and when I finally got through the diglet cave for the second time (I had to go back for a Pokemon that knew cut) I realized that the viridian forest wasn't even a forest. It was a maze of over world trees and head butt trees. What??? Not even grass. For real, go check it out
This gave me so much anxiety
When she keeps using her teeth
Once I went through Victory Road without finding or encountering crap, no repels of any kind were used, what are the odds right?
Fun fact: most of the patches of grass in the original Viridian Forest were not programmed to have encounters. That's right, you could have just walked through the whole time.
When all your Pokemon are down and all you have left is a level 3 ditto you decided to catch for some reason.
That paranoid feeling when your last Poke'mon left is one hit from dying and you're trying to get to the PokeCenter.
Burn the witch!!!!
Accidentally hits back, starts battle
