Which is exactly why news media takes science that hasn't been peer reviewed. They take a claim from one study that says "yawning twice every morning right when you wake up lowers your risk of cancer!!" And roll with it as if it were tested and reviewed by multiple sources
@Thatbright, and report on Super Foods. I've eaten them and haven't gained any super powers yet.
@Thatbright, That's generally not a proclamation that the study is entirely accurate. Some people assume that.
@UmActually, alot of the time the article that proclaims it treats it like it is
@Thatbright, the bigger issue with peer review articles is that there's no market for peer reviewing. you don't make money doing some someone else has already done. that being said MOST science and research is accurate. There's notable examples to the contrary of course but for the vast majority this is true. mass media then takes that article and cherry picks the lines and facts they think are interesting or newsworthy regardless of the actual results and conclusions. the later is what's frequently abused by the mass media more so than the original articles and research themselves
@TheWhiteWolf, while it may be true that science is accurate and such for it to be a valid theory or whatever it is you're trying to make it has to be repeatable and actually repeated by others. But yes the media just sees something that says "Maybe this is probably true if a very specific set of conditions is met" and then say "LOOK AT WHAT WAS JUST DISCOVERED"
@Thatbright, well, of course! The media cares about grabbing attention far more than they care about accuracy. Most news outlets are only as accurate as they have to be to not get in trouble.
@Thatbright, they just have to say the magic words (where I always know some bûllshît is coming) "studies have shown".
@I Are Lebo, do they even care about getting in trouble anymore? Seems like CNN is still doing what they do.
@big freedom, man, I fücking hate CNN.
If I ever met Wolf Blitzer I'd say to him "you are a scumbag that makes your living by spreading fear" then I'd spit at his feet and walk away.
I yelled nine like a nazi god I'm screwed up
@skedda, yeah speaking German is so fvcked up
@skedda, I feel there should be punctuation to give that sentence clarity:
" I yelled nine like a Nazi. God, I'm screwed up"
"I yelled nine - like a Nazi God, I'm screwed up"
"I yelled nine like a Nazi God. I'm screwed up"
@Nellybert , I'm a fan of the third option
@skedda, how powerful is a Nazi God?
@ObsceneGestureAlert, What would a Nazi God look/sound like? I'm thinking kind of like a Red Skull version of Venompool.
@Nellybert , I was thinking more like Trigon with a swastika tattoo and a butler mustache but that sounds cool
@ObsceneGestureAlert, My knowledge base of comic villains is fairly limited, but after Googling Trigon I'd like to say that I like your idea - it's definitely the look I was going for, but with a better base character.
@Nellybert , I read the original comment the third way and was confused by it.
And from our angle it's the hiragana symbol for the sound "no".
@Grizzy, it's quite clearly a coffee mug
Favoring and downloading to slap around on Tumblr to see what fires I can start.
@Eeveelution, But this works that every side thinks you're talking about their opponent.
@UmActually, yea but I will literally put it on sjw posts and not care let them think I am insulting them
@Eeveelution, I originally saw this on an sjw post a few months back
@Eeveelution, Or, You know, You could let them be. Do You really need to start fire somewhere to show your "superiority"?
@Fearless Fapper, I am not, I am doing it for fun
It could be an 8 that got erased or not fully drawn. Context is important. Therefore, both could be completely wrong, but only one of them could be right, in this case.
Its a lower-case g.
Oh hey guys, is anyone else having trouble uploading? Cause every time I upload pictures, they disappear out of the pending uploads, not getting uploaded at all.
Or, someone painted it that way so that it could be a 6 or a 9. Just like the person is trying to say about others, he is making an assumption without knowing for sure what is going on.
Just because someone intended it to be a 6 or a 9, that makes it a 6 or a 9? What if they just have crappy writing skills and they intended it to be a 0? Does that make it a 0?
There are people who say 6 and people who say 9. The problem is there are people who say its 3 or 5
Homosexuality. Genetic? Maybe? We once thought it was a mental illness. Now we argue so much over whether it's wrong or right that no one even tries to answer any other question about it.
50% of people who liked this pic apply to this pic but didnt get butt hurt cause they think their the ones that dont.
Six nine is never wrong.
There's a joke in here somewhere...
It's a 9, there's no line over the top
That's so funny.
Why not both? *69 music plays*
