Ok. Person who knows more about Cyclops than is sane here. He was pulled into the future to raise Cable without Cable knowing he was his actual father. Slym Dayspring (Cyclops) raised Nathan Dayspring (Cable).
He was a good parent (comic wise, at least) and doesn’t deserve to be lumped with the other two. If you want to bash a Summers, pick Corsair (Chris Summers) for seeing his kids were alive and needing him and telling Storm not to tell them who he was so he could keep being a space pirate. Jerk.
@puppymama33, I'm only up to 1996 in X-men comics. I thought Rachel raised him because he had a disease they could only cure in the future. Also, Cyclops is my second favorite fictional character of all time but the dude literally walked away from his wife and son to continue being a superhero. I know there's way more to it than that but yeah.
@18bluecat, Rachel took him to the future because of the techno organic virus, but later came back for Scott and Jean to raise Cable in the future.
And I know he did, but it seems so out of character to me that I have a theory that Jean manipulated his brain to do that. I mean, she threatened off Psylocke when she showed interest, and she was a witch to Emma Frost because she and Cyclops had the audacity to be together while she was being the Phoenix
@puppymama33, brightside all that is patched up know in current continuity and the Summers’ house resides on the moon with wolverine staying over to bang Jean with Scott and Emma visiting to bang Scott with Jean
@puppymama33, I bet you ha e waited years to share this information. So happy you finally got your release and a platform to do it on
@TheMightyImp, thank you. And yes. I’ve been a fan of Cyclops for nearly twenty years now. Growing up as a female in a house where comics were seen as for boys wasn’t easy. I would get excited about the latest thing and my siblings and parents would just stare at me like I was speaking a different language (I’m nearly 30 and they still do it). Even in college, I was called the comic freak by a girl whose sister transferred and became my roommate. It never stopped me from loving X-Men, but it took a very long time for me to be comfortable enough to talk about it again. Thankfully my husband thinks it’s attractive and encourages the discussions I was once mocked for
@puppymama33, you go girl... :)
@puppymama33, Scott still ditched his wife and kid as soon as he found out Jean was still alive...
*Combines daughter and dog to avoid raising his daughter*
@SolarEdge, too soon
Moral: avoid raising children
@dogenstein, I’m trying but the little fvcker keeps coming back!
Worst parents ever.
Could have just gone out for cigarettes.
