pebkac or ID 10 T errors
Work in a call center and you'll realize it's best to assume 90% of people calling in are completely inept. "why are you charging me a late fee?" "you're credit line with PayPal is current" "bullMy American express statement shows a late fee!" "sir that's a separate company" "I KNOW THAT I'M NOT AM IDIOT NOW REMOVE THE LATE FEE!" I had this conversation multiple times
@slug111, so did you remove it or what?!
Thanks Susan, very cool
a lady asked my coworker yesterday if a laptop had wifi because she doesn’t have internet.
I used to work in tech support and most of the people you talk to at first are stupid.
You have to do what they say before they can send it up to someone who can actually fix it (me).
I get it's frustrating (especially for people who were in my position and had to take all of the cases 2 other levels of support couldn't fix) but you have to play their game to get to someone who can actually help you.
@Ted Mosby is a jerk, when i call to talk to cable/internet companies (like at&t so far the worst) i start off fuming mad and irate because otherwise they just try to sell me new products rather than offer solutions and my gf used to berate me for it until she heard them dance around every single issue and question i had for them and literally offer to sell me direct tv when i said i wanted to cancel my service because i was tired of being upsold on every single tech call i made.
@FFCrisisC, oh, I worked internal for a company. I didn't talk to customers, only employees.
Yeah if you call a customer support line you're just uffed, those are the worst.
This is why I am always sexually ambiguous and make advances at my telephone personal, but not blatantly where they can hang up
