Train carved into the lead of a carpenters pencil... 3/16'th of an inch high. by Artist "Cindy Chinn"
Spends hours crafting a beautiful steam train out of a pencil. and all he gets is comments on the pencil he used and chalk rope?.
Wtf is chalk rope?
@IQhunter, (I think this is what it is) it's this string that comes in a container kinda like a tape measure and you pull the string out and you can snap it, making a chalk line on a surface. Made to make really straight lines quickly on wood or something in construction
@Im Bo Yo, thanks....
I have no need for this what so ever
Yet I want some so bad
@Im Bo Yo, thats exactly what a chalk line is and it is used in construction (building and carpentry mainly) it can also work on concrete. Im assuming chalk rope is just another name for it
@PunnyBaker, thanks for the confirmation! I used it in Honduras one time, but I wasn't sure it was the same thing
@IQhunter, I have some at my house... for no reason other than it's amazing...
@IQhunter, If you ever need to cut some straight lines on long pieces of wood it is amazing and super satisfying.
@IQhunter, in Australia it's called chalk line. And yes is indeed used to make a line out of chalk to make it easier to cut or line up something.
That's almost as amazing as someone who can sharpen one of those god forsaken contractors' pencils in the first place.
@EatMyAss, hey I made a pencil!
"Why is it a rectangle? How am I supposed to sharpen this"
You use a knife!
@Praise Satin, .... actually they're pretty easy to sharpen with a box cutter
@smii7y, true, I've done it but it's just so much easier to have a normal pencil and sharpener
@Praise Satin, well being as I work construction its handier to have carpenters pencils around but for every day yeah regular makes more sense
@smii7y, family handyman problems. The real fun though is chalk rope
@Praise Satin, You know you can buy a sharpener for it at home depot, right next to the pencils. Or you could stop having a shjtty dull knife.
Last night while eating Doritos I accidentally dropped the whole bag because my hand just could not hold the bag anymore. This guy made a train out of soft led
What's the joke....
No joke, I was working on a group project for school, and long story short, all 5 people in my group were fascinated by chalk rope.
@FriendlyWalrus, chalk rope?
@Nudity Industries,' Chalk line' You stretch it tightly between two points and then 'snap' it in the middle against a sheet of plywood for example, and it leaves a line of chalk.
OH FVCK IT'S A PENCIL"

Just an FYI. I think a girl did this, based on the information from the name and the website link.
