What the Fawkes did I just read?
@thehouseghost, the sad story of a Phoenix who bonded with a human. It's human died and said Phoenix wishes to die as well so It can be with its human. But, sadly pheonix are essentially immortal through endless rebirth. So the pheonix curses its immortality.
Also, Harry Potter pun nice.
@TheGoogler, the Phoenix should become friends with stupid. Stupid never dies. But this meme made me sad. I’ll be crybating in my room tonight.
@TheGoogler, what states that they would keep their consciousness through death and rebirth?
@Jipz, the last panel, otherwise it would just be a newborn pheonix with no knowledge of loss. Hense it retains its knowledge and cries that God won't let it die.
@Man with a Cat, everyone just gonna keep scrolling and ignore the term "crybating"?
Then she loses her mind, turns black, and starts eating cars full of people mercilessly.
Well this was astronomically depressing
I remember a story that followed an idea that every Phoenix bonds with a human. But A) only one Phoenix is born every 100 years, and B) they make the human they bond with immortal by housing their life force in the human. This is what lets the Phoenix be reborn from ashes, and if the human they bond with is killed somehow, the Phoenix could not revive after its next death.
The lack of punctuation really ruined this for me
That was beautiful TheGoogler
This is extra sad for me because I just found out I can't have my bird with me at the place I just signed a year lease at with 3 friends. I've had him for 13 years and he doesn't have many left.
I know this art style. This is that cartoonist that makes some real fvcked up shjt.
Jesus, I thought Puff the Magic Dragon was depressing...
