My goodness. Expand your palette, my dude. Nearly everything is an aquired taste. Train your taste buds and brain. Too much amazing food out there for you to be doing this.
@Spartan Adlai, I like the intentions, but maybe calling the foods an acquired taste and then saying they’re amazing isn’t the best wording. Is something really that good if it’s an acquired taste?
@Commandshark, I mean, yes. For example, All alcohol is an aquired taste. In fact most food is. That's how taste buds work. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. "Aquired Taste" is not stigmatic, or at least it shouldn't be.
@Spartan Adlai, dude if you got to acquire a taste for it then its not amazing food.
This is happening to my siblings. When I was younger we were super poor, i ate what we had. Thankfully my moms business took off, and now we can afford luxury. My little siblings only eat chicken nuggets and cheeseburgers. They don’t even want to try when I cook adobo, gumbo, or pasta.
@generic zombie, poor kids. No culture. Its ok i used to eat my cheeseburgers plain and dry but i grew out of that nonsense too
@generic zombie, Make them pork adobo, and marinade the pork belly in Coke. My mother in law makes that, and it’s the bolloxs.
What? How can you go somewhere and not find a single thing that you would eat? I'm a picky eater, but I've never been unable to find something to order. Especially when it comes to "nice" places. Just order a steak. The only people who don't eat steak are the vegetable people.
Also, on top of that, why are you going somewhere if there's nothing you want? You can pull up a menu on your phone now. It's not hard to check.
@Gamasennin, well a burger is always an option. I'm not a vegetable person. I'm a very picky eater. I don't like the texture or taste of a lot of things. Stake is not one of the things I eat. Or ham. And I only like about 3 different veggies and about 6 different fruits. So I couldn't go vegetarian even if I wanted. I'm stuck with burgers, boneless chicken things, hot dogs and maybe bacon. No sausage.
