Paying 35k for a robot to dick around your minimum wage employees is such a Saturday-morning-cartoon-villain level move that it almost becomes something I can respect
@Kangaroo Jacked, that really is some villain sh!t, 35k for a useless robot instead of paying employees more lol
So robots are CREATING jobs for low wage workers? How the turn tables...
@Drunk Pantless Uncle, The Fifth Element was right
I was visiting my family in MD and saw a Marty at their local Martin’s. The workers put giant googly-eyes and a face mask on him. He was still useless but at least he was funny to look at.
Ray Kurzweil: “…”
Don't sh!t talk my boy Marty, he does a fine job when he's not getting uncomfortably close to me
So this robot is actually looking for spills, not necessarily trash. Employees aren't usually going up and down every aisle, so that is where the robot comes in. It detects the spill, parks and then connects to the PA system to say there is a spill requiring cleanup on aisle X.
The liability for someone falling because of a spill is ridiculous, so paying whatever this bot costs is usually well justified.
So it’s exactly like having another boss, they get paid way too much to tell other people to do the work
Hey look, it’s a PCM meme
