First bill c-16. Now the national anthem was changed cause “in all thy sons command” isn’t “inclusive” for ever Canadian, when the word son is being used to represent everyone the same way someone says “guys” to a room full of men and women. Do these people even linguistics?
@Baby Cthulhu, yeah but language is offensive
@Baby Cthulhu, all thy sons actually refers to those who fought in the wars. the lyrics were changed to get young men to sign up. I disagree with the change, and think it is silly.
@Thatbright, hey I'm not your buddy, guy
@Not him again, I'm not your guy, friend
@Thatbright, you'll regret this day, friend
@Not him again, "he's not your friend, buddy!"
@Thatbright, I'm not your buddy, friend!
But seriously can we all accept that South Park is on point with acknowledging things and making jokes of it? The creators really are the embodiment of humor, whether you like it or not
@Baby Cthulhu, the funny part is that the French version probably still has masculine grammar because mixed gender groups get "ils" as a pronoun, so it's still sexist.
@Baby Cthulhu, and Trudeau was doing a town hall meeting and someone said the word "mankind" and he interrupted them to say "I would prefer we say peoplekind instead of mankind"
@TheDoctorsTARDIS, *cringes thinking how our prime minister is indeed (I hate this word) a cuck*
@Baby Cthulhu, Feminism doesn't care about the sacrifices men have and continue to make for it to survive sadly.
@TheDoctorsTARDIS, "That's fascinating, Prime Minister, but...free speech and all. Besides, "peoplekind" sounds like shjt. What if I just say "humanity," instead?"
You know who's not the father of Canada? America
@whynot260, not anymore thats for sure.
Even though it sucks seeing the canadian anthem be changed I just really don't get why it's causing so much drama. It's a song, countries don't really NEED songs; it doesn't do much at all really aside from pushing patriotism into the public which is fine all in all but I just don't see how changing the lyrics stops that all of a sudden, is it because it's too heavily inclusive? does it just sound bad? is it the dissatisfaction of seeing lgbt, feminists, sjws, etc getting their way? I probably need to be more educated on all of this.
@JinxTheCat, it’s more like there is all this time and effort going in to changing something that is a nonissue for no reason
@JinxTheCat, not all of us lgbt people care about shlt like this. We have more important relevant issues to still fight for. Not changing an anthem so it can be more inclusive. Which is important to some people, not all.
@Basil Fawlty, It’s important to the identitarian SJWs on the far left(not liberals) who wish to change the entirety of society to conform to their beliefs. Which means that every little thing that isn’t conforming to them is perceived as a great sexist, racist, whatever ist evil that must be purged.
@JinxTheCat, First world problem
Mmm it’s retarded now
He left him no choice
