Sometimes I look up at the stars and think "God isn't it neato that I may not have a purpose in the overall improvement of the universe and there's an amazing chance I'll die having done nothing to impact humanity but in the end it doesn't matter because humanity will end to and there will be nothing?" Anyway, have a good day everyone!
@Sorry for that, Are you ok?
@TriangleTesticles, You bet!
@Sorry for that, thats why I have depression. Whats the point of all this?
@Sorry for that, I like to think of it like this:
Even if there is a god, objective purpose or meaning is impossible. Any universe that you can conceive of, with or without a deity, ultimately comes from nothing. Even if you argue that a deity is infinite and always has been, this infinite timeline didn't come from anywhere, and thus, came from nothing. The point is that there is no point because no god, universe, or anything in between has a cause to exist. Nobody is supposed to do anything and there is no right or wrong way to live your life. That being said, it's kind of liberating to know that studying physics, partying, browsing memes, and doing nothing are all equally valid pursuits in life.
Make purpose for yourself. Humans are special in that they can create meaning where there is none. Get out there and do whatever it is that you find to be fulfilling and know that it's what you're supposed to do because you want to do it.
@Apathetic Husk, I am too lazy to read all of that. I read the first three sentences so i am proud of myself
@Apathetic Husk, That's beautiful
@The Lord of the shjt, and you were just getting to the good part. ;)
I'll try to keep it more "concise" in the future.
@Apathetic Husk, Tried reading it again. Too complex to understand for my poor brain
@Apathetic Husk, I thought it was beautiful. That's always been how I feel about life and its great to see it written so well!
@Apathetic Husk, rape
@Apathetic Husk, dude.. that is so fvcking cool. That is the best put explanation I've seen for this line of thinking. We share the same line of thinking and that is pretty cool too. Lol.
Y'all ever think about how the Earth is just a tiny little part of the vast expanse of space? And somewhere out there there's probably another life form that knows about us? And that they won't visit us because you whacked it to that questionable video that one time?
@John Sema, if it's online, i wasnt the only one that whacked to it.
Famous quote from Florida Man.
Too much light pollution in the city for me to see the stars at night... :'(
Correction: "I love pissing HIGH* outside"
