It checks out everyone, I have the eyes of some one who did graphic design for 4 years and then quit because people suck at paying for hard work and art
@DrSin, as a working designer, I also became an experienced debt collector but loss prevention is my passion.
I concur with your assessment above and yes, people generally don't appreciate hard work in the arts but solid contract negotiation skills and understanding copyright & licensing laws goes a long way whenever deciding even if I want to do work with a client. It's tough not working for an agency or having to deal with more than just creating the product. It also depends in the quality of the clients you accept too.
@DrSin, I need you to do 50 hrs of work, but I'm not gonna pay you with money. I'll tell all my friends about you and then they might pay you for stuff which means you could potentially make more money than what I'd pay you. So really, you owe me money
@DrSin, I'd like this really badassh logo with a flying dragon with fish scales punching down a Chinese tiger with a ribbon and letters regarding the world war dates japan invaded china for like...1.50 and I want original editable drawings in like 30-35 minutes oh and can I pay you Wednesday...of next week?
@MeddlingKid, right? The thought process and color blending and designing of every single line, the mental aspect of every single shade and position is only worth about a dollar never mad the college courses you took to understand color and what will being attention. Nah I don’t need money I eat compliments and feel good emotions
@DrSin, man I thought you were going to say a joke there, like, I have the eyes of some one who did graphic design for 4 years but they weren’t mine and I had to give them back.
@Dashkatae, oh . I have plenty wanna but some ?
@DrSin, Draw furry porn. If you're good at it, you can charge hundreds for a single page comic commission. I met a guy who does it it, and he told me he can get up to $1500 a week just drawing custom pictures of peoples furry identity, and they pay him up front.
@Gamasennin, disgusting...tell me more.
@Che D Lay sir, There's not much more to tell really. He heard there was good money in it so he decided to draw a few single page comics and people liked them. He made a few of them every month and after a few months people started commissioning him to do custom stuff. He uses it as steady income between the more 'normal' jobs.
@Gamasennin, simply word of mouth. How very capitalist (that is not an insult btw) and daring. Although a reputation precedes the nature of these patrons,
I will presume he's skilled artistically, but it is without a doubt he deftly developed a small base clientele among a fringe society. It is a very peculiar security to maintain and I applaud his ability to recognize opportunity. Often, it is desguised as hard work but in this instance, it is desguised and probably not hard for him at all.
View in high res, zoom in. The image in the background is greyscaled, and the "color grid" is blurred in to causes the color to visually spread.
@TheStarHawk, not so much blurred as transparent with no outlines. Zoom in close enough and the grid lines do have definitive edges. The reason it looks blurred is just because of the resolution of the image.
@TheStarHawk, this stuff works just from the way our brains process things, but yeah you're right. There is no real need for the edges and crosses to be blurred to the extent they are, even considering resolution, which I have just noticed waifu mentioned after I have typed this.
Yeah... and Britney Spears is my wife and Christina Aguilera my side chick
@seeUpee, you luuuckyy. Son. Of. A. Bitch...
So.. it is a colored image anyway?
I don't think whoever created this image knows what "black and white" is, because there sure are a lot of hues here.
red ain’t working for my brain, but everything else is
I mean, kinda. But are our brains "filling in the color" or did you put different colored lines over certain areas and now those areas have a checkerboard patter? Looks like the latter to me.
I wanna turn it off
This is literally how pixelated images are created. A small pattern of colors over a large area that we see with our eyes and then process the image in our brain. So fuching what
So...it isn't black and white?
How is it a black and white picture if there are colored lines hmmmmm? Checkmate artists!
Why aren't the lines on their skin yellow
I mean, if it has colored lines, then it's no long black and while, is it?
