that's pretty basic English. naked is in itself a word, baked has a root word. English lesson over.
@Tumbleweed, shhh. People don't take too kindly to intelligence around here. It makes them nervous!
@Tumbleweed, but if you never seen either word... how would you know?
In other languages you can pronounce words you dont know by... get this... how they are spelt...
I play lead bass.... so do I play a fish or a guitar? Is it made out of metal, or is it the main bass? And by main bass, did I mean the main fish...
You shall never know...
@phalcon , but if you are speaking with someone, you would hear the words on context, thus learning, or if you are reading them, you would still have context.
chances are you arent going to be given a word like that and be expected to know.
I'm not at a lake trying to catch an oversized guitar.
@Tumbleweed, or are you?
@Tumbleweed, but for someone learning English, I can understand how it is confusing. It's my first, and really only language...I know a decent amount of Spanish for a simple conversation, but it's been 15 years since high school, so I don't remember much of the in depth stuff because living in St. Louis, there aren't a lot of Spanish speaking people I run into often.
Their our know rules in english
@I grade all memes, ok, I see what you did there, that didn't make it any less painful to read and comprehend the third time through
@I grade all memes, I nearly had a panic attack... thanks for that...
@I grade all memes, oh hey u took a meme and made it your comment. Points for originality
That or an eldritch horror
Is someone learning French I can tell you that like a third of English just French pronounced slightly differently
Could have been nicer and said got your name from a cat who walked across a keyboard as they were typing your name...
I pronounce it baked.... :(
