makes perfect sense
It dug through the flat earth and levitated on the other side
I think flygon would still take half damage right?
@I Am Captain Obvious, his special ability (at least when I played in gen 3) is “levitate” making him immune to ground moves. I remember magneton getting a whole lot better with the same ability too.
@WildestJuffoWup, you’re right. It’s an ability several electric and I think ghost types got.
@I Am Captain Obvious, Only on a successful DEX save
@WildestJuffoWup, I wish magenton got that ability, instead he just got sturdy. Levitate would’ve made a lot more sense and actually fit the Pokémon
@WildestJuffoWup, magneton gets magnet pull, sturdy or analytic. I always used to make the mistake until I used one in a run. It looks like it should get levitate, cause they float in all the animations, and it'd really help with that 4x weakness to one of the best attacks in the game, but no. You always get hit by ground moves and faint (or 1 hp) unless you use air ballon or the "all-powerful" magnet rise
@I Am Captain Obvious, No. Despite being underground levitate negates the damage. Any other pokemon takes double the damage it normally would while underground
@I Am Captain Obvious, in the current version (and I think since gen 5, but dont quote me on that) a pokemon using Dig becomes "grounded", which means they lose any immunity they would otherwise have to ground type moves from any source. This includes flying type pokemon, levitate, magnet rise, air balloon, etc.
