Put some respek on my guy Bulbasaur's name
@Beggar Mugger, agreed
@Beggar Mugger, no
I love bulbasaur
@HolyDad, ahh I see you're a man of culture as well.
@HolyDad, He's number one in the pokedex, and number one in our hearts.
@HolyDad, we all love bulbasaur, but of the three he is the weakest. That's the general consensus, anyway.
@Scottles, after hidden abilities he was actually the best, and with megas he's in the middle, but that's heavily because charizard got two megas so you can play additional mind games. The squirtle line has been the worst for a while, unless you're a speed runner
@wynaut, I meant in the original, and wasnt necessarily talking about stats when I said weakest, I also meant the design. Mainly Venasaur
Bulbasaur has a type advantage in the first 2 gyms, and resistance in the 3rd.
I started with bulbasaur and easily got throw the first two gyms quickly
I know this will get lost in the comments but the reason why you only get one save slot because of the hardware limitations at the time gave Gamefreak the choice of either including more saves or allowing players to name their pokemon. They opted for the latter because they wanted players to bond with their pokemon and felt personally naming them helped with that
I have a name for Charizard over rated fire lizard or orfl for short
@Dankey, homie rolls up on you with charizard, throw some pebbles on the ground, F to pay respects
Three saved files to yourself is a luxury that older siblings with the only gameboy could only dream of
Blastoise is by far the best and my blastoise has surf and hydro pump that would destroy charizard and blizzard and ice beam that would wreck venusaur so he beats both
Leech seed is one of the best moves in all of Pokemon
Lol noob. Everyone knows venasaur is way more competitive than blastoise
Bulbasaur was my first Pokemon ever.
@Scottles, I'd argue that blastoise has a generally boring design and poor evolution theme, but we could be here all day. I think the other two get more attention in general because we got red and blue instead of green, but there're a lot of bulbasaur fans out there
Oh you mean you don't have a toxic leech seed venusour? oh well guess your just fvcked when you find out toxic also is on the same counter as leech seed.
Only if you're a fool who doesn't choose bulbasaur.
Bulbasaur across the board, and f*ck you
I think most of it was just disk space. I know that pokemon were originally going to have more than four moves, but that was scrapped because it was either that or being able to nickname every pokemon in the box.
@Hades1260, did we get the better deal in this dimension?
@Hades1260, that was the original reason but after the gba games there really wasn't an excuse
@theshadosnipe, yea especially on the switch now. I mean yeah I can make multiple accounts on the switch but it's not the same
