I play Pokemon Go and I'm not ashamed. But it's not THAT good. It's just.. kinda cool.
Yeah. How dare a free game used by millions have problems. Dam
@hollow114, people think that they're always owed something
@hollow114, Let alone controlled by a tiny studio with not that many devs/employees.
@hollow114, Yeah, I can understand people being frustrated with them removing the tracker and taking down locator sites, but they were calling for Niantic's head after the first week
@hollow114, yeah, a free game supported by 2 of the largest data and gaming companies, respectively. Also a free game that has already made assloads of money
@hollow114, Freemium games, like Pokémon Go, and fully free games like Team Fortress 2, always have people making this argument that if it's free you should just take whatever you get because it's free. Honestly, that's a garbage excuse for any game. However, this is Pokémon. It's one of the most recognized and beloved franchises in gaming history. It isn't developed by Nintendo but they're backing it as a branded product. The problem is are a slew of problems with the game, bis, missing/removed content, etc., which essentially points to one conclusion: this game was released ridiculously unpolished and unfinished.
This would be fine since it's new and they're still working things out, but the biggest problem a lot people have with companies when games are in this state is that for the game being as unfinished as it is and Niantic being frankly as unprepared for their own release as they were... THEY ARE STILL TAKING PEOPLE'S MONEY. A LOT of money.
@hollow114, For me that alone nullifies your argument. If the game isn't finished ethnically they shouldn't be taking one cent in freemium content sales. As soon as purchasable content is sold your shjt had better be in order or else your behavior is just shady as hell and I don't see how it can be reasonably explained that you are selling items in a game that is obviously broken in multiple ways.
@YouJustLostTheGame, Jesus I hate autocorrect. I think you get my point though.
@YouJustLostTheGame, And they quite frankly have no excuse to be this unprepared after the length of time they spent hyping it up and working on it, especially considering its almost functionally identical to the other game they made (Ingress).
I quit when the 3 step glitch kicked in and said "ill be out an about when its all fixed" then niantic said fvck it we dont like solving simple problems we just take it away, needless to say i spent 20$ in support and wish i'dve bought a happy meal instead
@SlipSlipperyStair, Yeah i quit awhile ago because of all the glitches, that and living in a small town sucks as well. We have four pokestops and none next to each other.
@SlipSlipperyStair, geez, that's an expensive happy meal...
@SlipSlipperyStair, It isn't a simple problem and Niantic had to remove it to fix it as well as being less visually confusing, especially to new players. For the love of god people read their statement about it!
@pokerus, I know right! As if it's a simple fix light turning it off and on again.
When you walk 5km just to hatch a Pidgey
When Niantic strips content from a game that already lacks content.
"Maybe I'll catch a Charizard"
I quit but I bought the steelbook on Amazon
