*reaches in pocket feels hand of local representative*
But *insert correct political party here* still cares more about me than *insert incorrect political party* because they *something they promised on campaigns they will continue using for campaigns rather than fulfill their promise*
@The nOly One, how dare you state the obvious
@The nOly One, They don’t keep their promises because they wouldn’t have a platform to run on if they did. Which is why they make unreasonable promises to begin with. It gets their voter base riled up even though they know full well that getting anything passed is about compromise.
Finally a political post I can get behind.
I love good poetry, it speaks truth to the soul
True. But we have to get rid of this asshole trump
@JohnFrom318, I agree hes an asshole. Though being an asshole is not grounds for removing him.
However we do need to decide if a president is above the law like a dictator. Or held to the same standard of law as everyone else. Are they accountable or not.
@Seohn, Trump is only being targeted because of his political party and his outspokenness. He isn't a good politician. Obama broke the law, and many politicians do some of the things Trump has been accused of, like accepting info from foreign countries (which Hillary did, as well). They all lie, they all scheme and play these games.
@RogueKnight, Yes but few to none of them so blatantly obstruct justice. Or at least none recently have caused their employee to resign because that employee refused do some “crazy sh’t”, such as firing someone as an attempt stop an investigation. Rather than following through they decided resigning was the best option. Which is obstruction by definition even if they didn’t follow through. Intent is enough to charge people and convict.
But hey, way to try to divert the subject. Like children do when they get in trouble. But mommy Timmy hit me first.
Note my comment was a blanket comment that would apply to “ALL” presidents including future ones. Holding them all to the same standards of law isn’t unreasonable. But hey if you want to let the president have immunity like a dictator from laws that the rest of us would be in jail for. You’re entitled to your freedom of speech too comrade.
@RogueKnight, Also the problem isn’t so much accepting info from foreign countries. Although that sounds shady and would’ve been frowned upon heavily as a commie sympathizer back in the “good ole days” for taking help from Russia. Its that he said with his mouth and his voice he wouldn’t call the FBI to let them know. Even though he was specifically told he has to by law.
George Stephanopoulos Interview if you dont believe it. And it wasn’t said as a joke. He made a joke directly after he said that. But it was not out of context. Of course now that he’s been called out on it. Hes trying to play it off as, of course he would call to let them know.
@RogueKnight, I am the kind of person that holds individual people on their own merits. I don’t use my dislike or like for another person as a bias towards someone else. I feel that everyone should stand on their own actions. And every time somebody brings up Obama or Hillary when the discussion is about Trump. They are diverting and dont understand what judging individuals by the content of their character means.
@Seohn, I wasn't diverting. Anything you accuse Trump of, other presidents in recent history have done as well. It either was under reported or they were better at playing politics. And I provided an example during the same time frame. Hillary destroyed evidence and obstructed as well. They only difference is she lost the election. If she had won, she would not have been targeted like this for so long. That's all I'm saying.
Everyone loves to pick on Trump (who is an ass, to he sure, but no dictator). But everyone also forgets what others have done and excuse it away.
@Seohn, and I absolutely understand what judging someone by the content of their character means. But too many people attack Trump and defend Hillary and Obama. They won't even compare apples to apples. And while I know you did not do this, you cannot attack one person and defend another when they've both done the same things.
Call it diverting if you want but that's not what I was doing it all
@RogueKnight, The Clinton email thing is speculation at best. Theres no way to prove she ordered the email deleted in an attempt to coverup. We can assume the worst. But with so little proof of intent. That’s all it really is, an assumption.
With Trump it was very clear he wanted that investigation stopped he said it many times. So when one of his employees is making the claim that he was ordered to fire someone thats investigating him. That’s substantially easier to show intent.
Each incident has to be held as its own entity. Trump has not only intended to stop an investigation. He’s straight out said he wont call the FBI like he’s suppose too. I don’t defend Hillary or Obama in this instance because the conversation is not about Hillary or Obama or at least it wasn’t originally. And just because they did something they shouldn’t have doesn’t mean that we should let Trump off.
He becomes focused on more by people because he brings attention to himself and because hes president.
@RogueKnight, there seems to be a lot of misunderstanding that Trump is being the target a lot more because it’s Trump. That is true but the reason this true is because Trump brings attention to anything related to him, he likes to point them out, he likes to insult people, and spends way too much time on Twitter.
See he gets a lot of attention because he draws a lot of attention to himself. For example, do you remember in school that if someone did something bad and suddenly became combative how they ended up getting in more trouble? Where as if someone else did something bad similar to that but just shut their mouth and let the events unfold. They didn’t get as much trouble?
This the best way I can explain this. Trumps not being attacked more than all the others because of who he is. He gets attacked more because he literally drives attention to himself by bringing up very topics he wants to go away....
@RogueKnight, ....It’s the equivalency of doing something really embarrassing and you want it to go away. But instead of letting the whispers die down about it. You continuously bring attention to it by bringing the subject up every day.
And then wonder why people are still talking about it.
That makes 3 of us
Why should a political party care about me when I don't even care about me?
I want this on a shirt, so I can wear it for all of 2020
What’s really funny is that when I 👍🏽 this app responded “error, you cannot vote this...”
@beastcortez, It usually only does that when you have someone blocked.
@spences, it worked immediately after
@beastcortez, Huh. Weird.
