@Dimir FTW, let me correct you there. I don’t watch any news. There’s really no unbiased platforms any more, and 90% of the news these last few years has just been fear mongering. When I said I hadn’t heard much on Biden that’s because I haven’t heard anything on Biden. I haven’t watched the news in 10 years and I heard so much about Trump despite that. From both sides. So the fact that I’m hearing nothing is as unbiased as it can get, he may or may not be doing good, but whatever he’s doing he’s at least doing better than Trump because no one’s screaming from the rooftops to have him impeached.

@Sterling M Archer, yes. 100%. When the year for presidential elections rolls around I do look into what’s happened but the 3 years up to then I ignore them as completely as I can. There’s nothing I specifically can do once someone is in office, and their daily goings on has no effect on my life. Laws pass and I’ll hear about it. But trying to keep up with everyday things means watching the news, and all they do is fearmonger.

If you watch consistently (and closely) over time you can start sifting through the bs and be able to discern truth from all the bs. Also, the stuff government does very much affects your life. e.g. extremely high inflation, high gas prices, nation wide shortages on just about everything, travel restrictions, vaccine mandates, medical supply shortages (I could go on for a while here) etc etc etc. What you're doing is setting yourself up for being tricked and being nothing more than a politcal pawn. It's not easy to keep up with the news and sift through the bs, that's very fair. But if you don't do that then you have no basis to criticize anybody about anything. It's just stfu and do as you're told at that point.
