I cringed a little at the thought of fvcking up the receiver doing that
@Cabbage Salesman, as did I
@Drunken Irish Dad, it's an ak47 you idiots. They are harder to kill that a cockroach.
@Poisonwolf, you could open your beer with it, then drop it in the mud, roll it in sand, take it apart, pissclean it, put it back together, and keep shooting.
@Poisonwolf, while they can take a lot of abuse, that doesn't mean you should purposely try to gum up the action by getting beer in the bolt group.
@MyJeepisbrokeagain, I wouldn't even take it apart. Just take the top cap off and piss clean it and it will continue to work. That's the only problem with American made rifles. They are precision built with tight tolerances so they get worse then they wear in. German and Russian guns work better when they get worn down.
@Poisonwolf, I'm in the army (US) and I'm still team AK over team AR any day.
@MyJeepisbrokeagain, besides it's totally better to kill them with their own guns, save the American tax payers money on ammo. Besides they don't need them anymore, amiright?
@Poisonwolf, word. It's just like COD, drop a body, pick up the ammo. Plus anyone with two eyes can look at a 7.62 standing next to a 5.56 and say "yeah I'll take the big one please."
@Drunken Irish Dad, I guarantee you he cleaned it right after that. You're not gonna put a beer covered weapon back on the rack.
@MyJeepisbrokeagain, well you also have a bullet capable of punching massive holes in someone. AR's use a faster .22 bullet. I want to put a hole in something and make sure it doesn't get back up. Damn dirka dirka's
@Poisonwolf, if you hit someone in the shoulder with a 5.56, it's gonna punch a hole, and may take them out of the fight. But if you hit someone in the shoulder with a 7.26, their arm is gonna fall off.
@MyJeepisbrokeagain, then you can pick it up and beat his friends to death with it. They will give you a medal for single handedly killing them all. :)
@Poisonwolf, damn right. #TRUMP #MATTIS
@Poisonwolf, is that not an AK-74?
@Cabbage Salesman, same
@The Tower Of Pimps, I'm 97% certain that it is exactly that
@Sven and Otar, it's shorter and the stock is something you would find on newer AK models
@The Tower Of Pimps, well an AK-74 is still an AK, it could totally be the AK-47 equivalent of an M4 vs M16, but it just looks immensely similar in its sort of compact stubbiness to the 74
@Poisonwolf, aside from just not being a model 47, you still don't want to bend the receiver. There's knowing a gun's reliability and then there's trying to fvck with it, which is a no go for me and pretty much any real gun owner
@Cabbage Salesman, ak dont give af
@Poisonwolf, IKR FPS Russia cooked a steak on one then ripped off 75rnds
@MyJeepisbrokeagain, Someone doesn't understand terminal ballistics.
@that crazy Marine, am I that someone?
@MyJeepisbrokeagain, In reference to the shoulder hit or say a leg hit no. But a torso hit on a soft target 5.56 all the way on a distance under 300m. 7.62x39 penetrates on the tissue in the torso. A heavily muscular area hit both rounds will shred. With 7.62 having a larger permanent cavity. But the frangability of the 5.56 rules on a soft target with no hard protection dumping almost all of it's energy into the target where as the 7.62 will retain shape and transfer less overall energy to the target before exiting the body.
@that crazy Marine, lolol dude I give you mad props for knowing all that. And I have an AK, and an AR, both of which I built myself, and having shot a ton of pumpkins, I think that ARs make stuff dead, and AKs make stuff deader. This one does just boil down to a personal preference.
@that crazy Marine, but also remember even though the 7.62 doesn't dump ALL its energy, it still hits alot harder than a 5.56, so it definitely does just as much damage.
@MyJeepisbrokeagain, ARs are civilian issue weapons, you wouldn't use them in the military so your preference of ak over ar is irrelevant to you stating you're in the military.
@The Tower Of Pimps, barrel and stock doesn't affect anything regarding 74/47. Both came in long/standard/short barrel configurations depending on the country manufacturing them and that weapon's purpose. That is an AK74 though. Mags on the 74 are less curved than 47 mags. That's usually the easiest way to tell.
Source: I eat breath and shjt AK. Best weapon platform for anything that isn't precision shooting
@HymenBuster, but my civilian AR is better than my issue M4. And it's still the same round.
@RustyFapwagon, precision shooting is for people who can't afford enough ammo. Lol
@HymenBuster, mil issue M4s are garbage compared to a lot of civilian ARs
@MyJeepisbrokeagain, I did it in high school. It's fun but it takes a really long time to get good at and there isn't really any practical way to implement it since your in such a controlled environment.
@RustyFapwagon, I like plate shooting and 3 gun. I'll honestly say that I'm garbage when it comes to long range. Anything past 250 I won't even bother with. But indoors and close range I'm fast as fvck boiiii
@MyJeepisbrokeagain, that stuff is definitely the most fun. But it's a cool feeling to ring steel at 700yrds. Knowing you can reach out and touch something that far away is pretty awesome.
@RustyFapwagon, I'm hella ADHD. so sitting still and controlling my breath isn't my thing. I don't hunt for that reason. Lol
@MyJeepisbrokeagain, not necessarily at closer ranges. Velocity increases joules exponentially.
@that crazy Marine, not THAT exponentially
@that crazy Marine, I have to ask, have you ever shot an AK?
@MyJeepisbrokeagain, I have 2. 3, 15s, a moss 500, Walther PPQ, PK380, XDM .40, .357, and a 1911. I'm also a firearms instructor. Was a range coach in the Marines for a short stint also.
@that crazy Marine, Ok so if you think 5.56 is better than 7.62, then what are your thoughts on 300 blackout?
@MyJeepisbrokeagain, ballistics are very similar to 7.62x39. Ammo is more expensive than 7.62x39. If you want AK thump with AR expenses buy 300blk
@MyJeepisbrokeagain, also you can silence 300 with a 9mm suppressor if it's a quality one
@MyJeepisbrokeagain, you should look into the sig(556 etc) platforms. They try to do the "best of both worlds."
@RustyFapwagon, the one issue I have with 300 blk is how difficult it is for me to find ammo in stores near me
@Tyrellious, you'll probably have to order it online. Honestly there are no real benefits to the cartridge unless you're planning on suppressing. If you want more than 5.56 in an AR just go .308
@MyJeepisbrokeagain, I have no experience with the 300 BO
@RustyFapwagon, my Favorite round of all time, though I might be partially because my favorite weapon system I used was the GAU-17. 3000rpm of 7.62x51=heaven.
@Poisonwolf, it's a Galil. They have a bottle opener on the bottom intentionally.
@dabbage cabbage, 16 months later you explain that.
@Poisonwolf, didn't see this until now while plumbing random
Bottle openers are getting advanced these days
Fun fact the Israeli galil actually has a bottle opener on it because the soldiers were constantly using the gun to open bottles like in the gif.
@Potter314 , I've been thinking about buying one and now I really want to know if the IWI import has one.
@RustyFapwagon, if you find out, could you let me know here about the IWI. I've been wanting a tavor
@Tyrellious, IWI is awesome. Tavors are pretty cool but shoot one before you buy one. Some people feel like they get gassed by them pretty hard.
@Tyrellious, I don't think the Civilian Galil has a bottle opener. Totally different forearm.
Brace for Americans and kids arguing about guns in the comments
@Jake The Legend, we did that long before you commented. Way to get here after the party had started to die down.
@Poisonwolf, someone still read it so I did my job
