Put your genitals there
@Dephenistrator, Done, did that make you happy?
@Under The Gloves , not as happy as pre ordering mass effect andromeda
@Dephenistrator, so. Fvcking. Excited.
@Dephenistrator, I can respect that
@Dephenistrator, I am very much looking forward to this. It's my favorite game series, and I'm glad that 3 didn't kill it.
@Dephenistrator, from what ive been seeing. Andromeda isn't doing as well critically as it could. Its at a 75 on metacritic right now with a lot of mixed reviews. Most cite that the game has a lot of performance issues and the worlds are empty.
@Assassinator2399, I played the 10 hour trial on console and honestly most of these issues were unfounded imo. They made the worlds bigger so that you would feel like an actual pathfinder and they even give you the rover on the first mission in eos. The only annoyance I saw from then was combat controls when trying to melee but that's a fairly minor detail
@nemestrinus , I'm definitely still getting the game. It was just alarming to see a Mass Effect game score that low with critics
@Assassinator2399, most of the bad reviews I saw were just "where the fvck is shepherd? You call it this a mass effect game and don't give us shepherd? Ridiculous, -5 stars" or "there was an animation glitch and combat felt wonky and the bigass giant open world was to big so it felt empty -5 stars"
@nemestrinus , emptiness is a valid complaint especially when you consider how empty the DA:I worlds felt. I'm happy with large open worlds but if they're empty then it has the same impact as small full worlds. The biggest problem with reviews is they're comparing this game back to the whole original trilogy which isnt fair whatsoever considering this game is incredibly different.
@Assassinator2399, The reviews I read gave it a perfectly average score and didn't really reference the previous games except to mention why it was so hyped. PC Gamer did a very well-balanced review, stating that over multiple machines and multiple players, there were quite a few bugs that range from barely noticeable to particularly annoying, but nothing game breaking. I don't think people really consider that a review of 70 or 7 or 3 stars isn't a *bad* review. It's an average. As in "most games should meet at least this level."
@Assassinator2399, with the little time I actually spent in the campaign I didn't find the open world to be empty at all (I didn't find Inquisition to be empty either) but I can see why people could say that *if* they didn't use the Land Rover they give you. Within a few minutes of roaming around doing side missions I ran into 1 town, a cave full of mobs, 2 enemy camps, a handful of lone mobs, one major enemy camp and 3 different side quests to start up.
@HiroAntagonist, the problem with average reviews for a bioware game is that they usually are much better than average. Their games usually receive huge critical acclaim and for the same critics to give their game an average score says something bad. As long as I enjoy the game ill be happy but its just surprising to see a Mass Effect game receive anything under an 85 on metacritic
@Assassinator2399, I don't really put any fault on Bioware at all. It's happened to every studio that EA's bought. The games become more and more average because they aren't given the time and/resources and/or team to do anything groundbreaking. I really enjoyed Inquisition, but not nearly as much as I enjoyed Origins, for example. Games should be fun, but cinematic games like this can't afford exorcist head spins and disappearing characters and be able to succeed. That movie quality is part of the sell.
@HiroAntagonist, that's a valid point. However they have 5 years between release of ME3 and this game for development so time wasnt an issue. The problem here is the resources and quality of team. I see the sequel to this game being so much better and it'll be due to EA needing to give them the resources and team to not fall flat on their faces. In the meanwhile ill enjoy this game like I do all other bioware games and just hope that the sequel is even better
@Dephenistrator, dude same I'm so excited eeeeeee.e.e.e..e.e.e.e.
@Dephenistrator, the tightness in my chest is almost crushing.
@Assassinator2399, guys, thanks for the reviews of the game. I'm stoked, and pre-ordered the game a while ago. I am not expecting the same thing as the trilogy, I'm excited for something new. A few bugs don't bother me. But I do expect quality. I'm glad to see I won't be disappointed in the game or alone in my excitement.
@Action88Jackson, it seems like they took a more adventurous approach to this game to keep with the pathfinder theme. I'm definitely looking forward to this game and hope they keep them coming
Whenever anything online gives me an order:
