Orks are highly underrated
God damn I wish I knew how to play warhammer. I only play the total war version on my pc and it’s so fun
@generic zombie, imagine chess mixed with yatzee. It's pretty simple. The hard part is the cost of getting into it.
@generic zombie, 8th ed is the newest ed for warhammer battles. It has some good, some bad. The one major problem is model count. In the game you stack units in rows. When attacking only the front row may attack, if you have spears and hadn't charged, you get to fight in two rows. A row starts at 5 models for Infantry, but 3 for monsters. Unless stated otherwise, a single unit can be as long as it wants.
So, the problem of 8th, is a rule called "hoard" any unit with 10 or more models in the row gets to fight one more rank.
So infantry would be 10 monsters would be 5.
The basic human gets 1 attack.
So you can have 5 attacks with a normal squad of guys.
But if you hoard them you get 20 attacks.
8th ed is the only one that has it. I'd ask around a hobby shop to get some players, and I'd suggest you find rules for 6th or 7th.
Two things 8th does better is magic and stupid random chaos.
It's been rare that an 8th ed game hadn't left me happy.
So great luck, and have fun.
@generic zombie, to test it out, you could download tabletop simulator and get warhammer bits from the workshop. You may need to get a rulebook, though I suspect someone has put one in there or you may find a pdf of it.
@generic zombie, I am hyped for total war warhammer 3
Skaven are my favourite to play; ratboys with gatling guns and complete disregard for friendly fire.
I am hoping TWH 3 has Chaos Dwarves so I can have demonic possessed artillery to use against the wood elves.
@generic zombie, go down to your local games store and see if someone can teach you. My husband and I always invite onlookers to watch our games and happily play a couple of teaching rounds with newbies
@generic zombie, total war is the best though!!
This is Casino Royale but sure
