He made a wonderful soul album tho <3
For a sec I thought it was talking bout our Tyler and i was like when did some1 tell him to rap
@Tony with an i, I would like to hear our Tyler643 rap
@seeUpee, i actually am an artist and a good majority of my music is experimental hip hop. oh did you guys not know?
@Tyler643, artist yes... music nope! You have any sample music online?
@Tyler643, And you are probably a 1000 times better then the dozen or so shiite asf, useless mumble rappers you keep posting about at 8 or more times a week.
@Tyler643, where can I find this?
@seeUpee, i have my music on all streaming services. i could drop a link or just tell you some keywords if you would like.
@LaDarkProphet, i pride myself on actually putting full concentration into my lyrics (as well as my production)
@brenno263, my artist name is THR but i will soon be changing it to Tyler Holt Rice (my full name as my music is just getting more and more personal to me, and, well, its easier to find)
@Tyler643, And yet you venerate and idolize people who dont even put in half as much effort as you do and probably have 3x the talent. Baffles me it does. Would be like Mozart enjoying a homeless man slaping a piano repeatedly! It makes no sense to me. None.
@LaDarkProphet, believe it or not, if you give some of the people i upload about a chance, you might come to like some. lyrics are my favorite part of rap so believe me when i say mumble rap is easily my least favorite hip hop ever. (it took me a long time to understand this) but, on the other hand, there’s a lot more to great music than just the lyrics, and modern rap can bring much more to the table than just words (not downplaying the retro classics, but the style has definitely evolved since)
@Tyler643, I simply disagree. First off, Rap and Hip Hop are my absolute least favorite genres of music. Secondly, i have given them a listen to ONLY because you have been shoving them down everyone's throat like a evangelical or jehovah's witness. And they are hot garbage. I have heard better music, both lyrically and technically from indie start up cover bands! These people get paid a retarded amount of money and yet sound worse then the garage band who only has a single amp. And the only thing modern rap seems to be "bringing to the table" is romanticizing criminal behavior and body bags. A lot of body bags. Cant get behind that kind of message and mentality. And the music outright sucks on every level. To me obviously. They wouldn't be making money if they were not doing at least something right. Its why for everyone that od's or gets shot or goes to jail three more pop up like cockroaches.
@LaDarkProphet, clearly you haven’t heard half of the music then if you think all hip hop is gangsta rap lol but alrighty my guy. that’s just a small subgenre, and not one i upload about very frequently.
@Tyler643, Sorry if i didn't go through each and every artist you posted entire repertoire, combing through each and every song they have ever posted. Dont like the genre. Dont know what else to tell you. And i never said all hip hop is gangsta rap. All i said was that all the guys you have posted have at least a few songs pertaining to a criminal life style. Like the one guy who od cause the cops where coming? The ither one who was killed in a gang related shooting? The other one who went to jail and tried to snitch his way to a different sentence? And so on and so forth? Like i said. Sorry i didnt comb through their entire song library to find the one that might be palatable to me. I simply have better things to do then listen to 40+ songs of hot garbage in hopes of finding one worthwhile. And no, not ALL of them are about the gangsta lifestyle. Some are about slice of life and girls. Lot of songs about girls and just how to treat them. Like i said. Not my cup of tea. (TBC)
@Tyler643, And you cant even say i just dont understand or like the content because i like Suicidal Tendencies, Cannibal Corpse and dozens of other heavy metal/hard rock bands that deal with heavy content. I even like some Biggie Smalls and Tupac. Rush DMC also comes to mind as does Rage against the Machine. Comparing these guys to your modern lame asf mumble rappers... well its like comparing mozart to homless guy slapping on a piano with a shoe. Simply doesnt compare imho. Sorry if that really ruffles your jimmies.
@Tyler643, And while i have your attention, maybe if you didnt drown fp in the same repetitive bullshiite content repeatedly, like a evangelical or jehovah's witness, you wouldnt drown in downvotes. Personally i find it pretty fing selfish that other content creators have to slog through your dozens of repetitive posts in order to be seen. We get it. Your sad and depressed and going through a bad situation. I get that, and you have my sincerest condolences but if you haven't been paying attention, dozens of people on fp are going through the same or worst situations. And they also use fp as a coping mechanism. And you drowning them out isnt helping.
@LaDarkProphet, you’re getting too riled up over nothing. also you seem to forget that just because i post about a rapper doesn’t mean i like them either. some pics i actually just find *funny* yes, believe it or not. i can’t believe you pulled up 6ix9ine as a rapper i like lol i uploaded memes about him like 2 years ago and i’m not even a fan. shjt was just funny. you dunno how preachy you sound either, guy. worse than any mumble rap nonsense i ever heard. but it hurts to be close-minded i suppose. little sidenote though: rage against the machine is my favorite band of all time, and a lot of the modern rap i listen to now is very similar to rage in a lyrical and even political sense with groundbreaking production to back them up.
@Tyler643, I disagree.
@Tyler643, gotta tbh, I like your uploads. They're kinda shítty but in a way that appeals to me. Also, first thing I listened to that you posted was "Some Rap Songs" by Earl Sweatshirt. I've never been into hip hop in the slightest, but I appreciate his composition and the sampling is sublime. Any similar suggestions?
@brenno263, one of my favorite albums. weird mammoth of a record. if you’re looking for similar artists, i’d have to recommend MF DOOM, MIKE, Death Grips, Aesop Rock, and Mac Miller (specifically his Faces tape or Watching Movies with the Sound Off album)
@Tyler643, oh man... I looked it up and found your music in bandcamp... bro this is awesome. Listen to half the stuff so far but really like Weather. The beat just goes with the flow if I may criticize a little. Will keep listening to the rest
@seeUpee, thank you so much! i love to switch my styles up and cover a wide variety of genres. i just don’t want to be known as a rapper. maybe that sounds pretentious but rappers get a lot of shjt nowadays and i just wanna be as eclectic as possible to keep up with the ideas in my head. i have a new ep dropping in the next few months as well!
@Tyler643, let me know when it does. I’m interested. I been into Nathan John Feuerstein aka NF a lot lately, especially his song when I grow up. I like his style, kind of like hopsin but different. I like when the flow goes with the beat, especially when is something I can really relate to. Only thing I can really tell you is that sometimes I couldn’t hear well what you are saying as it sounded like you would rap in the room and not into the mic... if that makes any sense. Keep it up man! I like
