Hey first one uploaded!
@pantyraidingwerewolf, you have brought TEH EMPRAH greatness!
@pantyraidingwerewolf, FOR THE EMPEROR!
@pantyraidingwerewolf, congrats! Here's to more quality content! *raises glass*
@pantyraidingwerewolf, PURGE THE HERETICS
What a universe where a thousand psychics have to be sacrificed every day to the dead living-god emperor of all mankind to help him keep a dimension made of pure suffering at bay? Ok.
Nowadays I think the Hunger Games world is more realistic
@K1lgore, actually Mad Max is a better comparison
@K1lgore, I find your lack of faith disturbing
@K1lgore, why would... the world turn into hunger games?
@K1lgore, I still go with Fahrenheit 451, books and independent thought are banned because it has the potential to offend someone, sports and what is essentially reality tv are the only acceptable entertainment.
@thePEARL, idk, 1984 is a frighteningly likely possibility...
Look up star citizen once alpha 3.0 drops. Should in a few months. Please don't hate me
Have seen neither. Let the hate rain
@yourleftnut, No hate. Just sad and disappointed that you missed something so awesome in your life.
@yourleftnut, same here
And way fvcking cooler
@bloodbjorn , well cooler on the sidelines...as much as I love it I wouldn't want to live in it
Haha I totally get this
@stripper cop , its the type of ruling governments. Star trek is all happy and adventure with a accept all species and 40k is grimdark and horrible and everything wants to kill with a gov that wants to kill everything that isnt human.
@stripper cop , also warhammer you travel through hell for their hyperspace.
@pantyraidingwerewolf, both are fascist super-states, though. The difference is that in ST aliens are absorbed into the super-state while in WH40k the filthy xenos are exterminated in the name of the God Emperor.
@Doctor Krieger, that's what I said.
@pantyraidingwerewolf, the ruling governments aren't actually all that different, as you assert. The most major differences between the two are the circumstances and the technology.
@Doctor Krieger, Star Trek the aliens for the most part want to be friendly. Warhammer, everything wants to kill you
@Richard Cypher, like I said, circumstances and technology.
Death to the False Emperor and all that but they need to just kill off Abaddon, he's just so useless, and everyone's bored of him and his inability to do anything. (Except Cadia, that was pretty cool.)
I'm a little confused by the Warhammer 40k stuff. Is it a game a game or a book or both? It looks rather interesting but I don't quite know how to get into it. Suggestions?
@Empirial77, it is a table top game as well as novels and video games. I believe it started as the table top and moved on into the others. If you want to get into it you can play some of the video games(most are pc games) but personally I love the books. Whichever is your preference. The Dawn of War games were very good but i don't think they give much to a full backstory. As far as books go I'd say start with the Horus Heresy books.
@Richard Cypher, thank you very much! I think I may start by giving the books a try
Ahhhh... Yes, Who is next for Slaanesh purification?
I had to look this up, it sounds kinda cool
But hey, on the bright side there's power armor and Gatling guns.
