That "if you've never done my job, shut up" is the worst defence ever. I can't do surgery but if a doctor amputates the wrong leg, I would like to think that my complaint will be taken seriously.
@Truthcat, it’s not an argument. It’s an appeal to authority. People don’t distrust cops because we don’t know how to do their job, it’s because we’re the ones they’re doing their job to. I mean, could you imagine if an Air Force drone operator defended the slaughter of innocent people by saying “you don’t know how to fly drones”? That’d be a whole new level of shjtbaggery, and the Afghan, Iraqi and Pakistani people would probably be even more pissed.
