@Codeine, all I was really saying is that I'm certain that in the past Republicans have voted for a Republican and regretted it, and Democrats have voted for a Democrat and regretted it. So it goes both ways. However, given that we're halfway through a democratic presidency and in the midst of an ongoing pandemic, we can probably safely assume this meme was targeted towards the current president, and not just a generic statement.
-
@Codeine, oh, my bad. Like you said - bias and opinion aside: many people in the US feel as though Biden is an incompetent president, and either believe Trump should've gotten a 2nd term or that there should've been a different democratic nominee. This belief is likely held moreso by Republicans, but it's likely that some Democrats closer to "the middle" agree. Before I get downvoted by others: I'm of neither opinion. I stopped giving a shjt quite a while ago.
-
@Codeine, Biden has been painted to be incompetent by several news media outlets for multiple reasons. Notably the military pulling out of Afghanistan and essentially allowing the enemy to retake it with our people and weapons still there, his poor job speaking or at least putting words together, falling asleep in conferences, gas prices doubling. I'm sure there are others but i don't care to list them. We have a majorly 2 party system. Trump was a polarizing figure. In the last election people who fell more in the "middle" of the 2 parties on issues appeared to have voted Biden. They may not be happy with what they got because while he may have improved over Trump in some aspects, he's also had some blunders that are just as worrisome. American politics continue to be a bureaucratic joke and are heralding our decline as a world power (in my opinion because we bicker about electing a reality TV clown vs a political clown)
-
@Codeine, i looked into AUKUS and I've never heard of it. Now i have i guess and read about it superficially. I guess the French are pissed at you? This seems like a military deal that will enable Australia to have better nuclear sub capabilities. I guess my question is why is Australia moving to get more submarine power? do you sense threats? Was France not delivering?
-
@Dangerous Dan Spivey, no surprise that MMSieBreeze patrols all political posts and downvotes anything that doesn't praise Trump as the savior of our time. This illustrates perfectly how tribalistic American politics have become. Although the left is accused with cancel culture mostly, I've seen it grow in the right as well. If you have any criticism for Trump in the slightest, you're "obviously a liberal". It's indicative of an indoctrination - this idea that you can't criticize your own party. The tail very much wags the dog and both parties adhere to "if you can't beat them, redefine the rules."
-
@HELLUVA ENGINEER, I'm not a speech pathologist but from what I've seen it almost looks like he has word finding difficulties at times. I watched a few videos of him in his earlier career and there doesn't appear to be this word-finding issue. I'm not aware of all the diagnostic criteria for a stutter though. As opposed to Trump's 4th grade vocabulary. Honestly and again I'd rather have neither issue so apparent in my country's leader.
-
@Runnin with scissors, i appreciate your willingness to share a kind dialog about an obviously polarizing issue. I've leaned conservative my entire life but here lately i have little in common with either. Politics is complicated and not transparent. The only transparency we get is offered by the opposing biased news station and should always be taken with a grain of salt.
-
@Dangerous Dan Spivey, a radio talk show host nailed our how our recent elections have gone. It's been a vote for the lesser of two evils for a while now. Because our campaign process is so messed up with personal attacks and whatnot that anybody worth running as a candidate is smart enough to not put themselves and their family through it.
-
@Codeine, Biden is a puppet used by the establishment to push through agendas in the background. They cheated to win by using covid and creating fake people for mail in ballots. The current powers in charge are slowly destroying what’s left of American freedom. Which you wouldn’t understand because you all are owned by your government. No way to fight back.
-
@Codeine, i'm surprised by your comment, the most honest news Clips I can find on YouTube about Biden are on Sky News Australia News Channel. Like 80% of Americans here don't trust the mainstream media anymore, I live in California and I watch Sky News Australia just to hear an honest take on Biden's presidency.
-
@butthole bread, Trump had them conveniently dissappear before the 2015 election by settling out of court. He has at least 12 different allegations against him. one of the victims was 12 years old at the time, I read all the court filings. He's also a friend of Epstein. He can go fck himself. Biden can't keep his hands to himself, as obviously seen in many pics. He also has a rape allegation against him. Whether there's more I guess we'll never know for now. He can go fck himself. Excusing either of them is stupid.
-
Hmmm let’s see....The other side is all for dividing us by race, telling parents they have no say in their child’s education, teaching children race theory and to judge themselves and others based on the color of your skin and not their character, if you’re white you’re automatically a racist and if you’re black you’re automatically oppressed, mandates a vax when it’s been said, multiple times, that if you had COVID and recovered from it your body as more antibodies than said vax, wants to have an open border for just anyone come to our country without checks and balances and give em $450,000, abandoned more than 200 Americans and Afghans in Afghanistan and leaving behind weapons for the Taliban to take.....hmm....nope, I can’t see why so many people switched sides this election
-
@Sterling M Archer, use the low brow "wake up sheeple" argument on me all you want if you can't come up with something more compelling. But let's take a step back and address what you've actually said above, I will lay them out, and you can decide whether you agree or not. Your statement is quite obviously right wing leaning, so I will take the left. You make a claim about apparently "not wanting to seperate people by race" and basically say that liberals are racist in the beginning, and then immediately follow it up by getting angry about there not being a border up to effectively seperate the races. If I have to spell out that logical fallacy to you... Well then I don't know what to say. I don't have enough characters here to pull the rest apart, but that's a good start.
-
@HELLUVA ENGINEER, you mean aside from letting just anyone into the country? Criminals, human and drug traffickers, drug cartels included? Problem with an open boarder anyone can come in. And that’s never a good idea. God forbid, how would you fee if you lived in Texas and someone you deeply cared about got hurt and raped by an immigrant with a criminal record who just crossed the boarder? And others cause havoc across the country because they don’t care about it. Pretty angry right? To be clear, I’m all for letting immigrants into the country, after they’ve been checked out, making sure they don’t have a criminal history. We should only want immigrants that want to work and do good for the country, and for their own families. And become a real American
-
@Sterling M Archer, but your neighbors are just as likely to be criminals as the people that live 100 miles away. Both areas have criminal and legal systems that weed out the criminals in each society. So why do we need some gigantic wall like we're trying to defend from an invasion? What's wrong with the system that we have in place with Canada? That seems to work out just fine and nobody ever gets angry about it. So why isn't there some giant push to get a wall put up along the Canadian border?
-
@HELLUVA ENGINEER, why is there no wall on the Canadian border?because canadians arent sneaking into America by the hundreds of thousands.... I coined a term for people like you... IDL... ignorant, delusional or liar... Cause to have such opinions that are out of touch with reality as yours, you have to be one of the three. But the way Canada is going these days becoming so tyrannical, and oppressive, you might start to see people comming over. I know I'm considering moving.
-
@Sterling M Archer, my husband is border patrol. It's been super busy for him lately, a lot of group crossings and panga boats, but what I can tell you is closing the border completely doesn't work and will never work. The majority of people who come here illegally started on legal visas and flew here, then let their visas expire. Walls can't stop planes. His apprehensions haven't been majority Mexican citizens since 2015. A few years ago, it was those from Pakistan and India, now it's South American countries and Haitians. You also have it being law that people have a right to claim asylum. many people give themselves up to him. It's not an American right, it's a human right. once they claim asylum, there's not much he can do. He did do a civilian clothes detail where he watched for human traffickers. That is a big problem and a billion dollar industry. Kept him busy. A lot of those people think they're coming here to be free and end up becoming slaves in various forms.

@sullywow, Then you must've been livid at Bush from '04-'08. Right? And Obama in 2014 ish, right? And at Trump in late 2019, right? https://www.forbes.com/sites/rrapier/2021/09/26/revisiting-the-blame-for-high-gas-prices/?sh=2a035947e31e Biden has done nothing that would actually change oil prices for us. You should be eyeing BP and OPEC and all those guys. And also realize that if the oil producers wanted, they can cap wells and throw a hissy fit to drive up prices unnecessarily whenever a guy they don't like takes office and doesn't want to take their bribes. Thus making ill will towards those they don't like and manipulating voters. Prices are now back to around pre-Covid prices. Mostly supply, extreme weather events, production, ramp time issues. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/07/13/bogus-gop-claim-that-biden-is-responsible-higher-gasoline-prices/
-
@JoeJoestar, Speaking of clowns easily manipulated by corrupt media... Here is one of many articles saying the same stuff. Look up WHY gas prices are high right now. https://www.businessinsider.com/why-are-gas-prices-so-high-right-now-3-reasons-2021-10 Classic supply and demand. OPEC and other oil suppliers are to blame for shorter supply, despite Biden asking for more supply from OPEC specifically, who increased supply to the US by a whopping... 400k barrels/day. We use 18.2 million BpD. Hurricane Ida wrecked US production and though most rigs and refineries got back online quick, supply from them remains low. Why? Ask them. They can easily cap wells and reduce supply and make more money per barrel while Biden is in office and blame him. Truth is, Biden has shut down 1 in construction pipeline. (Correct me if I'm wrong here) He's *thinking* about shutting down another that is 70+ yrs old and an environmental disaster waiting to happen. That really only affects Michigan propane prices.
-
(con't) Fuel prices are not determined by potential future supply from pipelines under construction. Prices are also not determined by pipelines not yet getting the knife. The prices are determined by how much supply there is and how much demand there is. Speaking of demand, that is back up to around pre-pandemic levels. People are driving to work again. So prices are back up to around 2019 levels. In my area prices are actually still lower than they were in late 2019. But not by much. Here is a history of US gas price averages. It shows that gas prices were actually higher in 2008 (while Bush was in office) and that isn't even accounting for the inflation that has blown up in the last few years. https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=EMM_EPM0_PTE_SCA_DPG&f=M BTW if one wants to point the finger at Brandon for high inflation, recall that he isn't the one that cut taxes from the rich and well-off and then spent $4 Trillion to try to save face. (Link) ...
-
(con't) https://www.cbs58.com/news/6-trillion-stimulus-heres-who-got-relief-money-so-far More than $800 B went directly to people who had homes and jobs. And we were all too happy to cash that check. So, yes. Biden shutting down 1 pipeline under construction did not cause these gas prices. Biden in the last week thinking about clamping a 600 mile pipeline from Oilberta to Michigan didn't affect prices a month ago. Low supply and fully returned demand is. Both parties are trash, but one is really sticking it in everyone's ass and then pointing their finger and saying it's the other guy. Then with the other hand they just make a mess of everything and try to stuff their pockets with all your valuables and money while you yell at people like Biden believing that he is the one behind you because the guy behind you said that.
-
@mas2de, I’ll ignore the many assumptions you made up based on a few words that were said on the internet because I choose not to be bothered by such pettiness. For someone who thinks I am a victim of media propaganda, you sure did quote a lot of the same sources. That’s neither here nor there for me, but I’ll refer to supply and demand. Simply put, if the supply is not in the location of the demand, then the supply is short. Cutting off the ability to supply said supply creates a shortage by its own write. Also prices 100% are affected by potential lines getting the knife, it’s called market reaction. Any news that comes out can affect the price of something because peoples reactions will change the demand for the product. You’ll notice I did not say Biden is the sole reason, but to think he didn’t affect it is just plain naive. Also cute that yet another Biden boy assumes that I’m automatically a trumper lol. People really do need to expand their scope beyond two candidates.
-
@JoeJoestar, you have difficulties with recollection and reading comprehension or something? I assumed nothing about you. #1) you started the pettiness by calling 81M Americans that disagree with you clowns. And went on to declare that Biden was boning our asses. You like to be petty #2) You told me that you think Biden is a clown and that you think it's his fault that gas prices are high. I gave you several different reasons why it is not Biden's fault and could not be Biden's fault but you just want to hear opinions that support your world view apparently instead of hearing facts that would align your view and reality. I also said nothing about your opinion on Trump. But most people that blame gas prices on the blue guy, also want to blame inflation on the blue guy when it is really just the years of policies from the previous guy coming to fruition. Even Bush's 2008 recession was set up by Clinton era cutting of red tape. Obama era high prices were also due to issues out of country.
-
Like I said, cutting off future supply chains has 0 effect on current prices of anything. The stuff hasn't taken effect and therefore prices remain what they are until that supply is actually increased if the cost of the supply is decreased. Unless there is market manipulation occuring. And since there is still current supply from that old Canada - Michigan pipeline, the prices aren't increasing because someone is looking into thinking about maybe cutting it off before it dumps millions of gallons of fossil fuels into the Great Lakes. It's still there, it isn't actually under the knife yet, therefore there is no way that any price increases in that area are from a thought in the back of Joe's mind. Unless people are making their own shortages *again* by falling to the fear mongering from the right and scrambling to get propane before the next truck brings in the bottles.
-
@JoeJoestar, also, Presidents do not become POTUS just for the money. There are WAY better ways to make money. Clue 1) how many presidents were ever one of the richest men in America? None. Ever. Trump is the closest but his billion dollar valuation is highly suspect and many experts agree that it was probably more like a few hundred million. Trump was the only one who really sought to gain anything personal from the presidency in recent history. He is the outlier and most of the other 45 presidents were nothing like that. The make good money off book deals and such *after* leaving office. Before, they usually made money by being decent politicians. Trump was corrupt and selfish. Not even Bush nor Clinton were in office for large financial gain. So, again, you're incorrect of presidents being in office to stuff their pockets. Politicians in general however are another story. From favors for family to insider trading to the legal bribery that is lobbying, lower politicians can be ...
-
... to be corrupt AF all over the US and throughout the history of America even prior to the 1770s. The president has largely been too high profile to get away with being corrupt with the exception of only a few like Nixon, Trump, Harding and Jackson who have been hated since their elections and have not been looked at kindly by history. I know Tucker tells you that everyone is just as crooked and as much of a liar as he is, but that is only because that is who he surrounds himself with and portrays himself to be on TV. That is how those hosts make millions, by manufacturing drama and stirring and feeding the fears in everyone's minds. There is plenty of corruption going around. Exceedingly little of it is linked to Joe Biden.

@mas2de, read the first few lines, Realized the pathetic butt hurt tone of a moronic child who is too stupid to realize he’s a condescending ass, and stopped reading. If you wanna debate then debate. Don’t hide behind the attitude and pretend like others are the problem because you lack the ability to articulate an opinion without trying to make it personal. Do better.
-
@RCA RPJ136 (JoeJoestar), You have yet to bring any substance to the debate if you can even call it a debate. It has been very one sided. You started with butthurt name calling and opinions without support. I mopped the floor with your argument using facts, logic and evidence from real world sources and expert analysis and now all you can do is cry apparently because you have internalized an internet comment and started off by making it personal and your arguments were unsupportable. Do us all a favor and stop wasting your time and my time and any reader's time. Thank you. Have a great day today Joe.

Oh man, I loved January 6th 2021. My side was great. So glad I voted for the winning team in the prior election. They did nothing wrong and only my side was right. All the warnings people gave about Trump and the GOP, I still don't hear. This is a stupid game. Anyone have something that is actually Biden's fault that he did as POTUS? Mr. Milquetoast himself in the flesh. Could he have done things better? Absofvcking-loutely. Has he done anything entirely unreasonable and/or dangerous? Honest and reasonable arguments only please. Don't @ me with retarded conspiracy theory bs either. Bring on the downvotes from the RW snowflakes too. Don't trip on your lower lip there.
Thought we agreed no politics in the turtle zone
