"We want it to be emotional but also funny and have seven main characters but really just six but all of them need to be developed but they also need jokes but it also needs fantastic fight scenes and it needs to be gritty but also needs to be kid-friendly and we need to introduce the larger DC universe but also keep it a character drama."
Zack: "Guys, I need to drop out...I'm sorry, but my dau-"
"Okay so 300's out. Firefly, you're up. We need reshoots in your style but don't alter the tone and also cover up Cavill's stache. We need all crucial plot points but also your reshoots and keep it under 2 hours."
Joss: "Movies were a mistake"
@SimonPetrikov, Exactly! He got shafted so hard, along with the rest of this franchise
@SimonPetrikov, when you have Batman, Superman, and Wonder woman in the same movie and Ant Man makes almost as much you, you know you fvcked up
All the people asking for the Snyder cut don’t realize that the only good parts of Justice League came from Whedon. You want the Snyder cut? Go watch BVS. And tell me that movie couldn’t have been better.
@Mistah47, amen!!! Snyder is over rated and this guy has no concept of story telling, 300 and watchmen all have source material but look at suckerpunch and you can see Snyder is a better cinematographer then a director.
@Mistah47, With Snyder at the helm, it really couldn’t have been better...
@megamanx181x, To be honest, I didn’t really care for Watchmen all that much, either. Like, it did what it needed to in order to connect viewers with the heart of the comic, but it really didn’t build much on from there. He really hit it home on 300, but that was about it for me.
@Berntley, watchmen is a hit and miss for me, I love the book but I can’t only give Snyder so much credit because it’s just a copy of a graphic novel. It was decent but at the same time it’s nearly impossible to live up to on the silver screen. However hats what made Snyder such a dark story teller that he believes that’s the tone that needs to be told in all DC movies; hence Batman v Superman being a bad movie.
@megamanx181x, Watchmen had its value, no doubt. However, I doubt it would have gained so much traction had Watchmen been a mainstream comic, and the movie weren’t coursing off the success of other gritty CBM’s like Sin City, V for Vendetta, and 300. Had it been a stand-alone movie with no source material and no precedent, it would have flopped hard.
Super psyched for Aquaman, since James Wan is directing
This is painfully accurate
