Ring around the rooosey....
@TheCoolestBean, get the fvck out of here with that....
a pocket full of posies
A tissue, a tissue
We all fall down
@seeUpee, a tissue? I've always heard it as
we all fall down"
Also this is a great way to show who your least favorite child is
@ Mr Cuymenq, what?!? I always said tissue lmao!!!
@seeUpee, ahh jeez sorry. Tissues is good too. Whatever you need to help you forget that the rhyme is actually about the bubonic plague
@ Mr Cuymenq, you seriously just blew my mind and had to look this up. I had no idea!!! Holy crap!!!
@seeUpee, i'm gonna tell you about a little place i know, a little place called london bridge... Its falling down
@seeUpee, like Mr Cuymenq said, Ring around the Rosey is about the Black Death.
Ring around the rosey are the rings around the pus filled boils.
Pockets full of Posey are the posies plague doctors would put in their pockets to help cover the stench of death.
Ashes ashes are talking about the mass burning of bodies.
We all fall down is death itself, eventually the plague took you, and then you fell down.
@TheCoolestBean, I came to the states in ‘92 for a few months. Went to kindergarten so I knew about the song. Down south, very south, we don’t have this kind of songs. Came back to the states for good as a teenager so I didn’t grow up with the song. Had no idea what was even about, just thought it was a silly children song. But dang it blew my mind
@seeUpee, yeah, most of those old nursery rhymes are fvcked up, one way or another.
Handy nightmare lights for the kids you don't like
The spirits have gathered upon us for this very moment
I remember having this it's probably why I'm so screwed up
