R2-D2 is canonically waterproof - He fell into the swamps of Dagobah and was just fine.
In the 1993-1995 run of Robocop comics he is shown to have underwater capabilities, his legs have built in propellers and he is totally water proof, I know, it sounds ridiculous, but comics are pretty ridiculous. I also made all of that up.
