My favorite part about the prequels was the background lore on the clone troopers
"You ever hear the one about the men bred, trained, and forced to fight against their wills for a cause they knew nothing about? You know? The ones who were inevitably forced to betray their leaders, comrades, their brothers, and their friends? But here's the kicker, they had no say in that either."
@Agent New Mexico, dang
@Agent New Mexico, I wish we got more of this in the actual prequel movies
@Good Guy Satan, too bad they were written by an incompetent buffoon who didn't even care.
The prequels had such potential
@sploot, Agreed. Why do hundreds of fans write better than the people who get paid to do the movies?!
@Good Guy Satan, it's been hypothesized that Lucas wrote the original star wars plot synopsis under the influence of potent psilocybin shrooms, which may have been a 1-time thing.
@sploot, I think shrooms is the only way to explain quotes like "I hate sand. Its rough, and course, and irritating. And it gets everywhere..."
@Agent New Mexico, yeah they call em pokemon masters
@sploot, I understand the issues with the prequels but people seem to forget that the “incompetent buffoon” also wrote the originals but never gets praised for that the way people hate on him for the prequels..
This is from one of the short clone wars comics from 2006 (good stories)
@Blaiseingfire, I find that that the only official content regarding the Clone Wars that isn't good is the prequel movies themselves, which just goes to show how George Lucas himself might actually be one of the worst writers for Star Wars.
@Marida Cruz, you pull one thread out of the story like making Anakin the padwan of someone like windu or someone who had actually been ready for a padawan basically not Obi Wan or hold off on killing Doku for another second or two so Dooku could reveal Sidous and the entire entire story collapses changing entirely
@eleven, yeah, but most stories collapse if you change a major detail. That's not the reason the prequels are bad.
Boba Fett comes out Spring 2019..
The clones didn’t chose the fight. But they were bred, trained, and raised to believe what they were doing was right. So they did so willingly.
You die protecting those that do from an enemy that is willing to do anything to achieve their goals.
