@Never Trust A Gnome, working in retail I can confirm this. There's one lady with dreads who comes in and I have to try my best from not showing how much my nose is being offended
@50SEVEN, either way, an unclean scalp doesn't smell the best, I can't imagine months of not being able to thoroughly clean it. Also, moisture gets trapped in dreads, & will start to smell after a while.
@Breakingbullet4, dreads are not actually a lack of washing, they're a lack of brushing it out and just letting it get matted/tangled. I know people with dreads that wash their hair just as much as anyone else.
Shampoo does not create dreads...
