@LaDarkProphet, man the thumb cannons, but by George, dont comment...

@LaDarkProphet, I’ll have an order of Zealot Tears. It’ll go down pretty well.

@LaDarkProphet, rip off prices. I’m bringing my own Kit Kat
@LaDarkProphet, just for clarification btw. If anyone is wondering. The last comment with the quote is taken completely out of context. Do some research. The guy who used it obviously hasnt read the bible either. And if he did he’d know you cant willy nilly take any line and use it. The bible is purely contextual in an utterly ridiculous amount of instances
@tylersmileyface, No one is wondering ✌ hence my comment ;)
@LaDarkProphet, can I just have like 7 pumps of butter in a cup?
I've never been harassed by a Satanist for not following the devil, only by a Christian for not following their version of God.
@AJMalone, I’m Christian and it bothers me that people do that. And that they protest gay events and crap like that, especially because both of my uncles are gay themselves. My mom always taught us that at the end of the day no matter what, it’s up to God and not us. Please don’t see this as me forcing anything on anyone. I love you all ;)
@AJMalone, I've never been harassed to believe, but I've been hated on for my beliefs literally without even bringing it up many times
@N7 Trinity, end of the day, I just remember an image I saw once
Jesus: love everyone equally.
Random guy: but what if they’re gay or worship other gods?
Jesus: did I stutter?
@AJMalone, oh trust me, it goes both ways. People just need to learn to just mind their business
That burn was seven times hotter than Nebuchadnezzar's fiery furnace
@LaDarkProphet, I don't really believe in God, am baptised but never really accepted the idea of it. I have no problem if someone chooses to believe, but if they tell me that I'm wrong for not believing, THEY'RE just arseholes.
Also, am 15.
@Balert, not sure why that gets downvoted.. people are touchy about this stuff
Centuries ago, the Bible was a guide book for the ignorant. Today, it is a centuries old guide book for the ignorant.
Today, there are far more zealots who count themselves atheist than there are believers amongst any of the world’s religions save for one: Islam.
Consider the hubris of the man who claims to know the unknowable and, by lack of evidence, “prove” the unproven to people who— at worst— accept too little evidence to believe.
Atheists are more petulant and naive than those they claim to “enlighten.”
@Cave Dweller, Ok boomer
@Cave Dweller, Youre wrong. Yes, there’s a lot of obnoxious atheists, but they’re not the majority and they’re not the ones protesting gay events and soldiers funerals. It’s pretty much just teenagers that recently lost their faith and are going through a phase because of the internet (I went through it in the past myself).
You’re also misinterpreting what “atheism” means. Atheism (as a whole) is simply a lack of believe in a religion. It’s not claiming that you know no gods exist. The problem is you’re comparing gnostic atheism (which IS saying you know for sure no gods exist) with agnostic theism (which is believing in a god but acknowledging you can’t know for sure). You’re comparing the moderate of one side to the extreme of the other.
@Cave Dweller, couldn't the same thing (try to know the unknowable and prove the unprovable) be said about any religion as well? I personally have never met an annoying atheist, though I know they're there. I typically take a more passive approach where "hell, if you can prove it I'll believe it". The bible just condradicts itself, has a fair amount of immoral values, and was made by man, which the bible states that God made man to be flawed, iirc. Combine that with knowing the history of religious leaders altering the messages shared about God to benefit themselves (and individuals that don't exactly understand their own beliefs that do the same thing), it's really hard to put any faith in anything the bible says
@Cave Dweller, atheism is the lack of belief in a God. It is the failure to be convinced by any texts or scripture that would suggest the existence of a deity.
How do you substantiate the claim you make in your first sentence? Your second sentence is a strawman given the lack of examples you provide to support your claim. Give us the name of the man so that we may consider his hubris and where he claimed to know what he could not know. Give us some evidence so that we may agree with you.
@Invalid User, did not say it was “unprovable.” Words chosen carefully.
Morality and “values” are irrelevant.
The Bible is a good book, but also irrelevant.
God’s morality or values with regards to man or his purpose, whether his creation or not, is also irrelevant. Only “atheists” believe* the absence of evidence is evidence. The only group more pathetic than “Satanists” are “atheists.” They will stop at nothing to humiliate, antagonize, and berate others based on a logical fallacy.
Hopefully this informal post helps, but it is unlikely to sway the entrenched “zealot.”
@Hamilton Porter, the assumed definition of “atheism” is incorrect. Beyond this, what more could be said.
@Cave Dweller, to reiterate a point made above: OK boomer.
@Weird Porn Stash,
- the “intellectual” protestations of the “atheist” are what has given rise to the debauchery protested by many today as it has unhinged the sense of larger purpose used to guide morality— which has led to regret, depression, and suicide— by design.
“Atheism” and licentiousness is now taught where philosophy and civics once were and are pervasive throughout the Western curriculum.
- many who would use religion as justification to protest “gays,” abortion, etc, have either not thought through enough why these things are wrong or right or are trying to compensate for personal shortcomings.
- “LGBT,” “SJW,” and “atheists” are pawns in a game much larger than they will realize until far too old and late to recover and far outside the scope of “funny pics.”
- “going through a phase” implies, at some point, one comes out the side. This is increasingly not the case.
@Cave Dweller, You never cease to amuse.
@LaDarkProphet, at the very least.
@Cave Dweller, I'm not entirely sure if you're referring to me as a zealot l, which I'm not.
Imagine if you're given a situation where you would have to decide that somethings exists, or it doesn't. Without any evidence supporting the fact, would it sound reasonable to believe it?
Of course, this applies to the belief of God, and the scientific theory as to how everything was created.
This debate between atheism and religion goes nowhere, and it's best that one of two things happen:
1, neither side claims to know for a fact that one thing happened or the other. One shouldn't press the argument that "X thing happened" when there isn't evidence on either side.
Or, 2, we all just think "well everything is here. Who cares how it came to be?"
Honestly, I would think the first scenario would be ideal. Religious people shouldn't be going around berating and cursing people who don't believe in god, and people who "believe science" should realize that they don't have sh!t for their theory
I believe in god but I also believe St. Peter was the worst sexist & that we have him to thank for a lot of religious gender roles
*atheists see a meme making fun of religion* “ah yes it is my time to shine, finally I can make fun of all those idiots who believe in God” *religious people watching them crawl out of their hole* *saitama face* “ok”
I only became an atheist after reading the Bible. It's mostly nonsense for the first half.
@hollow114, Its all nonsense 👍
While I am an atheist, you do need to know that priests do still read through the Bible front to back. They just have a higher level of ignorance.
@The Pun Shielder,
Actually I dont think ignorance is the right word. Self delusion is. A proper priest will definitely be more knowledgeable than your average atheist. He just doesnt know how to deal with the contradictions in it more than anyone else, so he just self deludes and believes because faith.
If the 9/11 Masturbator posted this it would get downvoted to hell. Now it’s funny? Fvck all of you
So here's the thing... Athiests claim to understand the Bible and use it to show God doesn't exist. Christians claim to understand the Bible and use it to show God does exist. Which one is right? I have my belief. You can have yours.
I just want to say the bible doesn't sugar coat the flaws of the time. Was this statement sexist? Sure. But it isn't God's command. Paul always makes clear whether it's his own opinion or God's law
@TomPholio, church doesnt.
Finally, a religion I can commit to
