Part of my Episode 7 Special.
This would have made 127 hours a lot less interesting.
@CrowleytheKingofHell, "Oh, darn. A boulder fell on me. I'll just cut through it with my Sith Army - crap. Stupid battery life."
Light sabers don't use batteries, they use crystals
@Barnacle Man, you are completely wrong. The Crystal is the focus not the power source. They use cores. The battery life is phenomenal, but they can run out of power if they aren't maintained.
The crystal is needed to form the blade and it determines the colour. That's it.
@I Are Lebo, *cowers from imminent downvotes
@I Are Lebo, true, and the average lifespan of a Lightsabre before needing maintainance is 2-3 years. I still have the star wars encyclopedia and books on their weapons, equipment and vehicle's.
@I Are Lebo, @Dephenistrator, NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRDDDSSSSS
@Barnacle Man, battery life of lightsabers was terrible when first invented. They required the user to wear a power source for a back pack. Lightsabers later used smaller cells for power, but they still required frequent changing. Eventually, the design was refined so that the containment field of a lightsaber would "loop" the energy back to the hilt to preserve power. A lightsaber really only expense power when cutting through something.
@Cpzombie, you're damn right!
@Cpzombie, i don't care, I'm happy.
I read this in Mike Tyson's voice
Am u the only one who doesn't get the battery life part?
Then its an apple
Shut up and take my money!
Why would you need scissors?
