What bothers me about feminism is they get mad at men for over sexualizing women, but for some reason it's completely okay when they look at guys in swim suits and what not.
@Ted Mosby is a jerk, sex positive feminists are the best feminists.
@Ted Mosby is a jerk, I've seen that happen on publications like HuffPost Women and it isn't great, although to be fair the comments usually call them out on it. It's strange though that all the feminists I know and work with don't exhibit these double standards.
It's almost like internet feminism and academic feminism are two distinct and autonomous bodies.
@Ted Mosby is a jerk, I absolutely fvcking hate 2016 right now ngl
@Ted Mosby is a jerk, its because the loud, over the top feminists don't want equality, they want superiority. The smarter feminists that actually want equality are people I (a young male) support.
@Ted Mosby is a jerk, I'm not a feminist; I'm an equalist.
@Ted Mosby is a jerk, I beg you to remember that that isn't real feminism. That is a example of double standards and it is not okay. A fair amount of feminists know that you need to sexualize genders equally.
@Ted Mosby is a jerk, no, how it works is, women shouldn't be over sexualized. But they also should be able to be naked without people flirting or caring.
Basically sjw's are hypocrites. But, we already knew that
@DeadXOnyx, it's like that with all these loud, over the top groups. Anyone that isn't a white, Christian male has a group that says equality, but really means "wants to be superior to them and make them pay for the society that our grandparents and older set up"
@MrWonka, not gonna lie
@Mister Riddle, oh
I feel old asking that
@MrWonka, I don't know how I figured it out either. I've never seen it before
@Ted Mosby is a jerk, or how they COMPLETELY ignore men's problems and the privileges women get for being women
@DeadXOnyx, then you should support humanism or egalitarianism
It's a shame that the internet has allowed for people to have such massive control over content produced by others. It really is to a point where any sort of false information can absolutely ruin someone/something due to how fast that stuff spreads. It'd be nice if people just didn't support the content instead of having a need for it to change to their wants instead
@SkizleDNizleS, no! You must be SILENCED if dare offend anyone!
Wow. This is so true. I gotta use your comment. It's well said and explains my point of view so well. Thank you for existing. 😽
@LeeSinsEyes, haha, damn I was wondering what I had commented on recently that got a reply. Has it been a year already?
Also, np just sharing my thoughts
A jagodibuja comic without any stupid sexy character? That's a first.
@man w the golden pun, what do you mean there's no sexy characters?
So, because terrible things still happen, any lesser positive change is moot. *That* makes sense. "I cured measles!" "But cancer still exists, so you've helped no one."
@Krieger San, I've never seen a video game cause someone to die.
@Trve Shad, no but sex culture the way it is now has been the seed for many suicides.
@Krieger San, While these perceived injustices in games (looking at you, Tracer) are unworthy of even being seen as a positive change (more of a pointless censoring), I must recognize the excellence of your logic and metaphor. Upvotes all around!
@Krieger San, The scale of things is what greatly outweighs that point. Talk all you so choose to about video games and their effects on people as much as you like, it all fluctuates with each decade. When there's still thousands or more correctly millions of women and children locked in the sex slave underground or all the people sold as slaves, artificial, scantily clad women in a false reality are not the important thing that must be taken care of.
Tl;dr Priorities, priorities, priorities
@Kakashi Hitake, So why not try to teach them to be stronger instead of censorship?
@Trve Shad, you can't really teach the dead to be stronger
@Kakashi Hitake, Well, not them but others like them.
@Krieger San, Thats not whats going on at all. If they were solving actual issues it would be a different story. But they arent, they are solving these stupid modern non-issues that affect no one with half a brain cell left. Curing measles was still important in the scope of medical advancement. Being upset that a mass of polygons is too scantily clad and shaped too much like and attractive person is not important in the scope of human decency and rights.
@TheCruzanator, Tracer's butt wasn't censorship. The pose itself didn't fit her personality.
You do know that the new pose shows her butt even more?
@tumblretard, You can't say it was against someones personality. They are not real for one. And for two, we all have more than one side to us. So that's balls. People should just admit they were bored and wanted to cry about something pointless because making a real change to the world would take effort.
@Daniel Ocean, "talk all you so choose to".. using more words doesn't make your point stronger. Also, if women are constantly objectified in media, then they're going to be constantly objectified in real life, which leads to things like higher rape and sex trafficking rates. It's a domino effect, and you can't stand the last domino back up while it's under the weight of 200 others.
@Pious Augustus, Women (for like 30 years now): This is an issue because x, y, and z happens as a result of it. Here's how we can fix it.
Your dry-skinned ass: Fvck you, no its not.
@Daniel Ocean, But here you're doing two classic fallacies in one, like we saw with the Syrian refugees - "How can be even be thinking about refugees when there's homeless veterans??" This fails because:
1) Compassion isn't limited to a single winner - helping them both is perfectly possible.
2) The people arguing this didn't give a crap about homeless vets either - if anyone cared, we wouldn't have homeless vets.
Bottom line, the desired outcome is to help neither of them, and to shut up the people who point that out.
@tumblretard, That's, that's literally the point of what I said. People projected their personalities and views on body presentation of a character who's personality they don't intimately know on the same level as its creators, and 'successfully' made a change in the developers, who just did the same thing again, as they ought to have. Ergo, pointless.
@KeKesUHaulFacility , Feminists: We think this is an issue caused by this.
People with half a brain: Don't jump to conclusions, correlation is not causation.
Feminists: Fvck you, if you question us you're sexist.
Those kids don't live in a vacuum, they probably know what video games are. Also, this isn't helping, this is exploiting.
@KeKesUHaulFacility , yeah, I don't think you understood the picture...
@Smurf309fs, I understand what they're trying to say, it's just completely misguided and surface level. I've upchucked things with more profundity than this.
What's most impressive of this entire scenario is the assumption that the women on the right were taught to read. What a truly progressive time we live in.
