I'm in this picture and I don't like it.
Sometimes I question wether I have real intelligence or simply enough surface knowledge to bullshjt my way through most things
How else am I supposed to win at Jeopardy?
“I'm not convinced I know how to read, I've just memorized a lot of words.”
Why you gotta call me out like that, damn

@ThunderKnight, hit back.
Self reflection does not burden the idiot. Makes them easy to spot.
Wow youre so smart man you know who started world war 1?!?!
Me: you can actrually work on a car that takes more brains than me knowing useless factoids.
So.... when we talk about “intelligence” it’s important to know that no one really seems to know what it is or how to quantify it. We try to make standardized tests but modern psychology admits that they’re all... lacking in understanding a person’s true ability or potential. Even that difference, the importance of what can you vs what could you do, is still debated when defining of intelligence.
I’ll say that Science is recognized as being both a body of knowledge AND a method of interacting with the world. It’s critical thinking, knowing how to ask questions and how to interpret results. It is also knowing a bunch of semi random facts. If you know facts... you’re just a few questions away from being a scientist. Most people think of scientists as smart so... go easy on yourself. Ask questions and look for answers. You might just change the world.
Man this OP going through some stuff. I know because I relate to all their memes....
Idk. But my brilliant conman syndrome says other wise
