They see where these characters came from
With most of those only the art style should really be called anime. Except Persona, half of that game is just a slice-of-life turned into a game.
@TheStarHawk, I acknowledge and respect everyones hate, but I’m playing through Three Houses again and Byleth definitely earned that spot. Great game
@Miss Leading, have you rewatched the Smash trailer after playing it? Because it becomes way funnier.
@Your Waifu, when Sothis says there are too many other swordsman, I just laughed. They were basically mocking the people complaining about it. And then Byleth just flies away with the other relics.
The problem is Fire Emblem rather than the other characters.
@Phanos, the problem with that statement is Fire Emblem simply has more characters overall than any of the other franchises, with each game being a unique world with different characters, and that at least all the Fire Emblem characters are unique characters. Even them all using swords is only really an aesthetic complaint, because they all fight and play differently. Theres almost as many Pokemon characters, but nobody complains about them. And instead of complaining that a series with no Mascot character has an assortment of characters to represent it, it would be better to complain that there's so few characters to represent the other franchises. Three of the five Zelda characters we've had are Link, and two of the technically four Mario characters we've had are Mario. The second Mario even plays almost identically to the first one, but still takes up a full slot. Meanwhile Metroid has 3, Kirby and Star Fox have 2, and F-Zero and Animal Crossing have 1.
Too many fire emblem characters
@megamanx181x, there’s still more Mario characters than fire emblem in smash.
Fire emblem awakening however... yeah that’s too much sitting at 3 characters when the others are the only representative of their specific game. And only one of those characters is unique
