Don't the rings act as currency for sonic? Am I wrong? Have I been lied to?
@GonMoose the Great, it was currency in sonic '06
@GonMoose the Great, The rings protect sonic more like. That’s why in most sensible sonic games you can survive any hit so long as you have at least one ring.
@GonMoose the Great, he os an animal so i guess he doesn't need it? I'm not too familiar with Sonic lore
@Scottles, but in the more recent games he's around humans, he eats human food. He would need money for that
@GonMoose the Great, true, gotta have money to keep making out with human women
Ah yes, Yoshi committing tax fraud
pokemon trainer should have been "wealth through gambling"
How did I not know yoshi was a thot?
@Fackinloaded, its not that, yoshi is just evading taxes.
@Fackinloaded, that makes absolutely no sense
@sgc6610, search "Yoshi commits Tax Fraud" on Google
@sgc6610, It's a reference to all the girls who have been selling nudes online and not claiming the income on their taxes.
Hey Pac-Man has a house a Wife and Child. Of course he understands money. He's a responsible parent.
@Lord Palpatine, in the pacman cartoon he also has a dog named "chomp chomp"
Why do I find this so satisfying?
Damn it yoshi get your shvt together
So they have all the Pokemon listed as no concept of money. At least some of them do have a concept of it. Certainly Mewtwo is smart enough to know of money and possibly Pikachu (at least Ash's one would).
Wait, I’m pretty sure money would be a necessity for mountain climbing gear and repairs to a giant flying warship. I mean, the Halberd gets critically damaged in pretty much all of its appearances.
But Simon and Ritcher are from a rich family...
@Sir LancesALot, I thought about that too, but the family became rich through contract vampire hunting. Technically they could be in the Business Owner tier.
@Lysander99, The Belmont's were rich before vampire hunting. They were a Leon Belmont, the first of the Belmont's to hunt vampires was a noble knight from a noble family.
@Sir LancesALot, were they? I'll admit my Castlevania lore is rusty, so I could be wrong.
@Lysander99, I got into it after watching the show
King K. Rool wouldn’t have his own fortune?
And then you blame Wario when its really those in positions of governmental power.
Nest should be gaining money through adventuring. Mario and Luigi gained money by being plumbers, so that's honest steady work, and all the pokemon gained money through gambling on dogfights, not that they had no concept of money. 3/10, chart is poorly made.
Are the Belmonts not a rich family?
Ness wasn't rich. He gained money through adventuring, as his dad was always at work. Lucas had no concept of money, because at the beginning of Mother 3, they had no monetary system; people would just trade or borrow items. The money (Dragon Points) come into play several years after his mother's death, when the mysterious Pigmask soldiers show up and the guy with the dancing Bubble Monley insist everyone needs a Happy Box, or their home will be struck by lightning.
@Suicide Squad Sucks, yeah but Ness's father is the real reason you never needed to grind for cash in Earthbound.
You said it yourself while Lucas's village didn't have a concept of money at first they eventually developed a currency
@Snip216, I have this theory that Ness' dad is the character you play as in the original Mother, or Earthbound Zero, as some people call it. He has some limited PSI abilities, and one of his friends is a blonde girl with PSI powers... between the two of them, it's collectively Ness' abilities. Plus, it takes place around 1980, so the dates seem to line up with Earthbound taking place 199X (I always assumed the X was 6 or higher).
@Suicide Squad Sucks, that'd be pretty interesting, it could also fit into how Ness's father is always working away from home. Ninten and Pippi (I think that was her name) must've had their kids at a pretty young age, since Ness's about the same age as him in Mother. So Ninten went off to work to support the family in anyway they can. It could also explain why neither Ness's mom or dad seem concerned about his journey, they've already been on one themselves and know Ness can handle it.
Giggily joogily, this comment is a moogily.
I thought it was going to be about chicks at first. 🤦♂️
Someone has way too much time on their hands
@sgc6610, and I appreciate them for it
