Well sure, but what if you have a gluten allergy?
@Yjjphy, man I get the runs sooooo bad
@Yjjphy, dont eat it?
@Yjjphy, I guess that means you've got about ten seconds before your dick flys off then.
@Yjjphy, they get sued for false advertising and a boatload of other things
@DoctorDudeman, people with celiacs going to see gluten free, think that the product is actually gluten free, eat it, and then have an awful next 12 hours while doing damage to their stomach lining
@Yjjphy, read the ingredients, they're all gluten free
Looking at the ingredient deck it’s made with both organic and gluten free ingredients. Probably a small business that didn’t want to pay for certifications and a separate facility to be considered gluten free/organic...
@A Blunt Object, I think that's exactly right
@A Blunt Object, the tone says to me that the designer is making a point that those terms are marketing tools rather than meaningful descriptions. Regulation is weak in that market and it is easy to make misleading claims legally.
@Ewok612, it is, but “organic” and “gluten-free” are regulated standards that require significant investment in both facilities and process on the producers part.
@A Blunt Object, ooh, old info on my part for the legality on gluten-free. Since 2014 (maybe before this was taken) it has actually been specified and regulated. The organic one is still a fustercluck though. A lot of loopholes and ways to fly under the radar.
They should label it as "gluten sensitive"
If you say "gluten free" that means you are certified and its made in a building with no gluten. But gluten sensitive just means "this item wasnt made with gluten but we cant guarantee that cross-contamination hasn't happened"
Yea. Tell this to someone with silliacs (however you spell it) you prick.
Wouldn’t this be grounds for a lawsuit over false advertising?
Well hi there lawsuit
Chalk. Chock. Chawk. No gluten.
Mfw gluten allergy is such a minor occurrence that celiacs is more rare a disorder than Sturge-Weber. Dont know what Sturge-Weber is? Thats fvcking right...
Take my money
That’s still false advertising and you could be held legally liable for it.
Someone's supervisor is about to get called!
