It’s that simple
The new Apple screen stand $1000.
@chickee fella, But, but, but, it rotates between landscape and portrait mode! Does your monitor do that? No? Could you buy two monitors and have one permanently set up in each position for less than $6,000? You could? Oh, uh, well, then yeah, I guess you’re right and this is a rip-off.
@Nellybert , some monitors can rotate like that too. Don't even need 2 monitors.
@jayne cobb, Well, maybe I just want two monitors. 😝
@Nellybert , they're trying to compete with $30,000 monitors though. They'll prolly fail all the same but it gives some perspective to it all
@TheWhiteWolf, $30,000 monitors? Seriously? Wow.....
@chickee fella, I'm not justifying the price, but the professionals that are going to be buying the monitors already have stands and monitor mounts so they won't be buying them.
Tim Cook really ran the company's respect to the ground. $1000 for a glorified hunk of metal and plastic. He may as well go to the home of every Apple user and piss on their wallets
@The Landshark , after he takes the money out
@The Landshark , I'm not Apple fanboy, I don't even own an Apple product, but it's obvious to see that it's not for the home market...
@Spartan 999, it's a vesa stand for their 6k display and is part of the Mac Pro
Apple doesn't know what "cost less" means
Bad PR that they didn’t include the stand in the price and give discount to those who don’t buy it. VESA mount people don’t need the stand. The screen itself is worth $10K+. Other company’s fancy displays are up to $40K
