Now you're thinking with portals.
@RetardedSeagull, I said the same thing and just realized you said it. My bad.
If this perfectly looped, I would probably end it all. There's nothing left to see in this world
Not possible there were two blue portals open at once
@lakewood20, Cooperative testing initiative.
@lakewood20, maybe they have two guns?
@VaporStrike, still only two portals
@Rowule, that's against the rules of the hypothesis
@lakewood20, Pretty sure the entire point op the CTI was that there was more than 2 portals. Colors could just be the same. It's never said anywhere that the colors are required to be different.
@VaporStrike, I don't think you're understanding the real point. There can always be more than one gun, and the color of the portals can be literally any color. However there can only ever be *at most* two portals. A third portal would make a paradox. And a fourth would mean that there would be 2 pairs of 2 and they wouldn't be allowed to over lap in any way. And using more than two portals would be against the "hypothesis" that one person (or two robots) can solve platform puzzles using weighted cubes, lasers, mirrors, problem solving skills, spatial reasoning skills, and the ability to connect two appropriate surfaces using a universal portal (which requires two sides (two ("two")))
@lakewood20, All I understand is that it is possible to have 4 portals at once in Portal 2. That's what this gif is related to, that's what I'm basing it off of.
@VaporStrike, when do you have 4 portals at once?
@lakewood20, When playing cooperative mode. Which I mentioned above.
@VaporStrike, maybe you don't remember, or maybe I don't remember, but I'm pretty sure in co op mode (the two robot one?) each robot only has the ability to fire one portal each?
@VaporStrike, one can fire blue and the other can fire orange. Maybe I forgot.
@lakewood20, Yeah, you forgot. Tall one gets red/orange, short one gets purple/blue.
@VaporStrike, yay we solved the problem. Now lets talk about the further inaccuracies of this photo
@lakewood20, Such as the ball gaining tons of speed the first time it's portaled and disappearing into limbo for a second the second time it's portaled?
@VaporStrike, yes(: yay we're on the same page! We've saved this friendship
@lakewood20, Friendship saved! *continues to silently judge anyways*
@lakewood20, who cares, i want moar of these!
@lakewood20, 2 sets of portals. One set is yellow and blue rims with black holes. The other set is yellow and blue rims with slightly lighter, corresponding, colored holes. The actions actually match up with the proper portals too.
@lakewood20, The core of the portal gun is supposed to be a miniature black hole (if I remember correctly) it creates an artificial dimensional rift between two points. Now you can't have a third point in that dimensional rift because, as you said, that would make a paradox. But you can have a separate rift existing at the same time. Yes you can only have two portals per rift. But its two sets of two. Each gun creates its own rift.
@Titaintium, but I said that, I just wasn't sure if they did that in game
Love the people in back just pacing back and forth.
That was actually kinda awesome
Now you're playing with portals!
Speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out
This is hand down one of the best gifs that I have ever seen.
@ShisuiTheTeleporter, No, not until it's perfectly looped. It's so close already, but yet so far. ;-;
