Somewhat related, apparently the new Assassin's Creed game lets you pay for experience?
@SimonPetrikov, what the corrupt hell?
@Dephenistrator, I mean I only watched the Dunkey video on it, and I know he exaggerates sometimes, but apparently halfway through the game becomes a grindfest for the required exp to get you to the next story sequence, and you can buy exp boosts with real money.
@SimonPetrikov, I'm still really not ok with that
Yep. It's summed as such:
"With the exp boosting service the game became good, improved in fact."
Meaning that if you didn't want to shell out more after your initial purchase the game stagnated until you buy more.
Just buy divinity original sin, 1 or 2, instead.
@SimonPetrikov, yeah, it's $20 for the exp and money boost, or $10 for each. I've already sunk about 30 hours into it and it's very grindy, but still worth it without paying the extra money.
@SimonPetrikov, "and I know Dunkey exaggerates sometimes"
@SimonPetrikov, honestly, it only seems to be a problem if you haven't been bothering with sidequests, if you do a lot of exploring you get PLENTY of exp, im currently overlevelled for where i am in the story
@SimonPetrikov, That's really nothing new. Especially for assassins creed games. You could do that all the way back in black flag.
@Weird Porn Stash, I didn't know that. Black Flag was the last AC I played, and I wasn't all that impressed with it.
Honest question here, do any of you guys still play EA games? Even after all the bullsh*t they’ve been doing for the past couple of years? The Battle Front 2 situation being the most prominent as well as shutting down amazing developers because they don’t reach EAs exceptions. If so, why do you continue to support a company like that?
@MCPON John 117, I play battlefront 2 occasionally because I got it for $5 and it’s not bad every now and then especially since loot boxes are gone. I play it just because I like Star Wars.
@MCPON John 117, currently I will go and play SWBFII every now and again. I, however, won’t be buying any of their new games due to what they did to SWBFII. Despite how much Anthem looks like it could actually be a good game.
Edit: as a side note, I’m only playing games I already own from them as they destroyed all benefit of a doubt from me.
@MCPON John 117, nah, mass effect 3 was the last game I bought from them like 3 years ago. Nothing but down hill from there. Publishers shouldn’t be running how games are made, at all.
@MCPON John 117, I would kill for another Dead Space game. EA is the worst though.
Take starlord instead!
Replace this with Activision, and its instantly better
