I... I... i dont know Rick... this... this seems pretty inappropriate to me.
Shut the fvck Morty. They are going to *urp* do whatever it takes to make the almighty dollar, and you know what? I respect them for it. They feed capitalism, and we know that is the most important thing.
Oh jeez Rick...
@ThePandaPool , hahaha
@ThePandaPool , neahhh, *munches* what’s up rick?
You had a gang of rapist hooligans from Clockwork Orange, a nun from a movie so controversial that WB won't release it on ANY platform, a shape-shifting child eating clown monster, and a woman who psychologically tortures her wheelchair bound sister...
But yeah, a f*cking cartoon skunk is the problem. 🙄
I'm more concerned about the fvckin Clockwork Orange cameo. That's like putting Suguru Kamoshida in Wreck-It Ralph 2.
@SimonPetrikov, obviously cartoon sex offenders are worse than live action actors playing as sex offenders. Depiction=Endorsement, duh!!!/s
Think rapey vipe…Pepe had more of a rapey thing going on
Lola tho… who didn’t fap at Michel In space jam? I mean Lola! Yes Lola
@seeUpee, the characters from clockwork orange were also in the movie for a cameo, if they were truly concerned about a rapey vibe they wouldn’t have been there, it was primarily virtue signaling.
@Andred, primarily nothing. It was pure and solely virtue signaling
Because its not actually about that. Its about power and destroying culture and history as much as possible.
@CocoasBro, Why do you want a character in a movie for 9 year olds to be sexy? Why do you want the skunk that ignores clear body language to stick around? Maybe we SHOULD leave behind those aspects of our culture. And what power do you mean? Money? The sex icon for children and the rapey skunk might hurt profit margins more than the outrage provides free marketing. It could result in boycotts or negative reviews. Rick and Morty having a ten second cameo gets people paid and puts butts in seats. Plus, they aren’t even in character, Rick never drinks or swears. I think they are wildly out of place here but they act appropriately. I don’t think Pepe le pew ignoring consent or Lola being seductive is appropriate for children. Admitting that our previous works of art are in bad taste is recognizing history, not erasing it. Lola wasn’t removed she was updated. We did better with what we know now. And lastly, can culture really be destroyed? Or do you just not like that it’s changing?
@Cl3v3rN1ckn4me, Lola was "Updated" she was "better" when did we decide as a culture that feminity needed to be hidden? When did we as a society decide that it wasnt acceptable for women to have boobs? Should she be covered in a burka next? And why couldnt pepe get a "Update" aswell? Fvck bugs and Daffney were key parts of the movie and theyve had very questionable behavior. Theyve done some messed up sh!t way worse than Pepe. Its an exercise over power over society. Youve said it yourself you seek to remove what you oh great sage who knows nothing deemed to be regressive. But its not regressive the truth is youre regressive. Youre an authoritarian that wants to destroy anything you dont like.
@CocoasBro, yo, that mic dropped so hard I think it cracked the floor.
@CocoasBro, I just thought it was a shameless cash grab meant to market Warner Bros that flopped hard, your take is better
@ptitty1231, well the movie itself yes, but we were specifically talking about the changing and removing of specific characters.
Almost like these things only get advertised to sow division and create controversial hype in social media comment sections.
@Whole Inn Juan, well said! They want us divided so it’s easier to take us down! It’s sad! I’m worried for my kids
We don’t go into that detail…
I think they just fly by for a sec right? Cameo?
@Sluggernot, it was a good ten seconds of dialogue and they literally delivered one of the toons to the team
@megamanx181x, ok more than I thought but yeah. I bet Rick didn't take a drink from his flask or anything but their point is valid if it's more than a flyby
@Sluggernot, that is true it was incredibly tame for the usual Rick dialogue
What's even funnier is it wasn't the clothes that made her sexy, it was them fvck me eyes and she still had them
What about the incest giant baby
@junkstarbuilds, now is not the time to bring up Chris-chan
Yeah, because objectification and r@pe sympathy is comparable to the ridiculousness of a theoretical universe.
You guys really want sexy Lola again? Pretty sure she's the reason we have furies now
