I think people forget that Spidermans(Spidermen?) all have superhuman strength close to that of Captain America or Thor
@Jecal41, Cap and Thor are leagues apart in terms of strength...
@Jecal41, Spidey is way above Cap and waaaaay below Thor my dude
@Scottles, Thor is second only to Hulk, so it appears. By source material, Cap is basically as strong as the strongest human could be. The serum makes him the peak physical human, nothing more. Spiderman has been known to lift as much as 25 tons, if I read it right.
@Berntley, oh yeah 25 at least lol, Spider-Man is a lot more powerful than people give him credit for
@Scottles, In fairness, and I don’t fault them for it, a lot of people these days are familiar with Spiderman from the movies. They assume there can’t be significant variations from the source material. Hell, my wife didn’t even know what a web shooter was until the Garfield movies.
And the movies aren’t exactly a consistent representation of his strength. Even Holland has scenes where his strength gets called into question. The scene where he’s crushed under the rubble? Sure, that was some heavy shît (physically AND emotionally), but I have a feeling Spiderman would actually be able to tear that shît up, no problem.
I think the bigger question is how did captain America stop Thanos's hand, with 5 infinity stones, yet he kicked hulks ass with one.
@Duncan5769, possibly cause Thanos freaking sucker punched Hulk, but Cap was just trying to keep his hand open
@Duncan5769, i think thanos did not go full power. Thanos probably thought he was a normal human and was surprised when he was stronger than a normal human. However he is way weaker than hulk.
@Duncan5769, I don’t think the stones necessarily make him physically stronger, except maybe the power stone? Isn’t that one of them? The purple stone. But I don’t know for sure. Technically, though I know this is not held to whatsoever in any comic book universe, Thanos could have only inflicted so much force on Cap, who was positioned below him, roughly equal to his own weight. Or precisely equal. So long as he positioned his weight properly. This means Thanos’ weight must be about equivalent to Cap’s max weight limit. If Thanos put more of his strength into that downward force, he’d essentially lift himself off the ground.
@Implicit88, There's a theory that in the last part of the movie (including Cap holding his hand open) Thanos was holding back because if he considered them an actual threat, he would have beaten them like hulk or even kill them.
@Duncan5769, thanos wasn’t using anywhere near his full strength and the soul stone made him more sympathetic and gave them a chance to fight
Yeah I really don’t believe Bucky held back, you can see he does like a full swing into that punch and Spidey caught it almost effortlessly. Plus spidey did hold Cap for a moment with his webs but Cap used his superior level of skill to beat him with the flip he did. Spidey is best boy change my mind
@downunderdoctor, agree. A normal spider can hold about 170 times their body weight. If a human could do this he would be super strong.
@downunderdoctor, I don’t care to. Spidey is absolutely best boy.
Didn't Spidey yeet Hulk into space at one point?
@Dick Gravatar, Spiderman had beaten hulk and red hulk, but in the new set of comics I don’t know how strong he is now
@Dick Gravatar, Yes, but he was also was empowered by the powers of captain universe. So her was able to fly and shoot lasers too.
Spidey is the kid you play online who is stupid good
Um this maybe a little random but saying canonically out loud is a bitch...
Yeah, Bucky doesn’t really pull punches. Not really his thing.
He spoke before hand. I think he probably held back but was still shocked even then. Stark said that cap could have taken out spidy easily and Bucky is stronger than cap with that arm at least
@stormageddon98, Cap can take out that Spidey because he is more experienced then a kid, Cap is nowhere near Spidey's physical strength
@Dick Gravatar, And I don’t think Bucky is necessarily stronger than Cap.
