@drharleenq, make sure you do plenty of research like you would before getting any pet. But I would probably recommend one at first just to get the hang of things. They're super low maintenance and can be a little nippy when young. Mine have never tried to bite, but I handle them near daily!

@drharleenq, I have 6 snakes (4 Balls and 2 red tail Boas) and I would highly suggest starting with only 1 for at least a year or 2. They shouldn't be housed together and usually like being alone; so starting with 1 and working your way up is probably your best bet if you end up wanting more

But really guys ball pythons make great pets! I've had my 2 for over 4 years now and they're absolutely fantastic animals!
