We all see some f***ed up s*** in our lines of work. Its just a matter of how long we keep face.
@Firefighter95, after reading these i definitely have a greater appreciation of 911 emergency dispatchers as a group of people who have to be strong in heart and mind at the most important moment (being when someome calls 911 and its a story like the bottom ones)
First couple are funny. Unfortunately, the rest are not. ),:
Edit: there's one final funny at the bottom right.
@Wyndextor, everyone read the first five then stop.
I don't normally beg for upvotes but this feels like an OK exception. Please don't read past #5.
@ReeseBobby, I haven't read any yet, but why not?
@Langenator, after that they get depressing as all hell.
@ReeseBobby, Couldn't help myself but read it all... Fun thing to read at 2am while I try to fall asleep... I usually don't complain about the type of pics posted but it would be nice if the depressing pics got filtered out atleast...
@ReeseBobby, I should have listened
@Wyndextor, the last one wasnt funny enough
@abelgray, the one in the bottom right is funny too!
@ReeseBobby, oh god I didn't listen! Whyyy??
@ShogunDamon, yes but it wasnt funny enough to make up for the former
@ReeseBobby, Joke's on me: I read comments last!
@ReeseBobby, I already read them all before I read the comments
I feel like there should be free therapy for these emergency line operators because not only do they have to talk people through the worst situations imaginable, but they have to do it every day with a calm face and then go to sleep at night. And no matter how many lives you do save, the lives you don't will haunt you for life.
@A Flying Panda, I know there is for EMS personnel, I imagine there is for 911 operators.
Sir there is some depressing stuff in my funny i don't know where because its covered in fvcking tears
@Donutfilm, I bealieve that in order to enjoy the funny to its full potential you must first feel sadness
I wish so much that I hadn't read half of those
@Maluhia Po, I haven't read it yet and now I'm worried.
@diamondbolt7, first 5 are okay, and the one in the bottom right. The rest are just... Horrible
About 4 months ago, I took a call for a 2 month old not breathing. Sent officers and an ambulance while trying to calm down the parents. I had the fire dept. on the phone and they give instructions for CPR. All I could hear was the defeated voice of the parents as they do with very futile attempts at CPR. First officer arrived on scene, takes child out towards ambulance that just arrived behind him while giving CPR. Child dies in his arms. I cried the whole way home and still fcks me up to this day... probably will my whole life tbh.
@keltik055, I have worked as a 911 dispatcher for about 2 years now. I've heard a lot of funny sh!t but let me tell you, some of the stuff I've heard through that phone will haunt me the rest of my life.
That baby one really got to me
@Good Guy Satan, I really didn't like the second "3AM" one. Rape is a pretty touchy subject with me.
(Before anyone asks, no it's never happened to me - I just know too many ppl that it has happened to)
The worst one for me was the 7 year old finding his sister. I don't know why.
@WhyShouldITellYou, Same here. And the girl who fell. Something about the loneliness of the situation and the not understanding what's happening. Same reason that, at least now that I have kids and sort of know how they work, I can barely stand to hear about kids being left in cars, whether on purpose or otherwise. Complete isolation, fear, and no means of rectifying what should be such an easy situation to get out of.
@WhyShouldITellYou, I got very emotional when I read that he got a blanket. I don't know why either. Perhaps because I have a 7 year old. Maybe because I'm positive that these stories are real. I wish I knew why
Read the bottom right one first or it's a very anticlimactic ending
@Billyboobar, I read it backwards to keep my spirits up.
Some of these are going to haunt me and I didn't even experience them
I'm glad they have a place to vent their sadness. Not healthy to keep these things to yourself.
@SimonPetrikov, Kind of why I read them, knowing how bad they could be. It's important to me that I never take someone else's experiences for granted, even if they're not the type to share.
Damn. Fvcking Trump. Why does he do this?
It started off humorous, Then sh!t got super real. Not for the faint of heart
That last one got me.
I could not read through this.
These are hard to read with the terrible grammar.
I saw greentext and thought ooh, greentext 4chan stories! This gonna be gud
This isn't ok guys. Can we please stop.
Why funny pics? Why??
