Yup it's Chicago dyeing the river green! Don't worry it's safe for the fish and looks super cool in time lapse
@Lopez302, I imagine it's not outright poisonous to the fish, but wouldn't it heavily obscure their vision, making it nearly impossible to find food?
@Donald Drumpf, it doesn't last long enough to do that kind of damage and i do believe it's lighter than water so it floats on the surface.
@Lopez302, but y doe
@Lopez302, fvcking flat landers...
@Lopez302, the river's so polluted anyway that no fish live in there.
Saint paddy's day in Chicago!
(Potential GoT spoilers)
Let's hope no one drops a cigarette in that lake... things could get, Heated
95% Sure Jamie is killing Cersei this season

I'm no river scientist but that doesn't look good
@GoSlowImBlonde, they actually use an environmentally safe powered, vegetable based dye. It only lasts about 5 hours and its gone
@super sand lesbian, oh well that's actually really cool then
I took a look at Chicago's city budget. Over half was for police force, which was $1.4 Billion for the 2016 year. Chicago sounds like a massively violent and broke shjthole.
Yo vault boy here your river
Lorde dropping Green Light teasers
Savanna, GA also does this

@fuvk this, i know Chicago dyes the main branch of its river green every year for Saint Patrick's Day
@fuvk this, its the St. Patty's day river dye!
@fuvk this, Because chicago knows the only way to truly celebrate st paddys day.
@Basil Fawlty, you guys don't even have good beer
Fvcking flat landers... tsk tsk tsk...
You can't say that if you don't have good beer..
@carguy25, I was referring to dying the river green...
@Basil Fawlty, dying the rivers green doesn't mean you know how to celebrate st paddys day
You can't truly celebrate without good beer
Which you don't have
Or good whiskey either
@carguy25, it was also sarcasm. I'm irish (dad was born there and I go to Ireland every year) so I'm aware it's not the best celebration, but it's the Chicago way, and as someone who lives in chicago I still like our traditions
