They love each other and are ok with title vs no one wants the bat mantle
Anyone else pissed off at DCs idiot writers thinking it was smart to make Nightwing a villain. Like the whole story is just stupid. They made it so that way there'd be some war in the batfamily and give Batman a run for his money but I'm over here just thinking "you idiots that's what Red Hood was for"
Red Hood literally was the commentary on how Nightwing could have ended up as an Antagonist. Hell, Red Hood even acted as an Evil Nightwing for a few comics.
They literally split the bat family up so well.
Dick was the gymnist, could do some detective work and was the best at hand to hand combate as an ex acrobat.
Red Hood was great at tools and weapons, more of a strategest and making the most difficult calls.
Tim was the best detective. Literally the whole reason Tim is Robin is cause Tim was so good at doing detective work to figure out who Batman was, and Batman helped him along the way. Tim is the brains.
Damien, finally Batman's real son, is a reflection of Batman himself.
@Tentastic, Damian, who they keep killing off in any future comic.
Nightwing, who they also keep killing off in any future comic...and I don’t even know what happens to the others. Point being, the writers set up this pretty tower of the Bat family and keep tearing it down. I guess it keeps things interesting?
Speaking of Greyson, at least they gave it some kind of backstory than a “oh look! One bullet and he’s a different person! Who’d have thunk it would be that easy!”
@Tentastic, comics have always been kind of dumb, it's just that sometimes we get bits of incredible cleverness that make us forget that. For example, remember when Nightcrawler in Marvel was revealed to actually be the son of the Devil, contradicting the entire point of his character?
@Tentastic, all these stories are pointless since they end up changing back to the status quo. Nightwing was brain washe dafter getting shot in the head by KGBeast and his grandfather a talon from the court of owls is behind that. The next solicitations for the comics show dick getting his memory back and returning to the nightwing mantle. Red hood is so actively busy with the outlaws that idk if they will ever have interacting with the bat family again. The young justice comic is a joke and a bigger joke is tim drake is no longer Red Robin but drake with an ugly brown uniform and largely Damian Wayne is just dragging along in the teen titan books. It just feels they can never get decent writers to exercise all four of them properly
@Tentastic, they made Dick a villain?? Since when?
@ThorOdinnson, he’s not a real villain, he’s been brainwashed for two issues by his court of owls assassin great grandfather and they already showed solicitations that’s he’s going back to normal
@Tentastic, wait, they did WHAT to Nightwing!?
@Davrial, His name is Ric Greyson now, the replacement Talon.
@Tentastic, This was almost as bad as the marriage contract of Spiderman and MJ. They used Gwen to show sacrifice and that superheroes can fail but ended up just bastardising an already used plotline.
@megamanx181x, I think my biggest issue with the comics industry is the status quo. I get that's how you keep a comic series going forever and allows more stories to be told. however It's the fact status quo never changes I remember when batman was going to finally marry catwomen. but then they backed out at the last second. It felt like I spent all that time in a plot line for no reason. I stopped being involved in all of the comics now. the only one I think I am intrested in is nick Spencers spiderman because he seems to be doing the character right by me.
@Killing instincts , Tom long writing the Batman comic was horrible, I get every comic book writer does something different but this book was an example of taking a step backwards to build up a lot of cheap talk to produce nothing. In the end of that book Batman went through a stupid mental journey and satay with catwoman but Alfred is dead. I want comics to keep evolving not going stagnant
Idk if I can’t really accept Michael bendis handling both superman and young justice bringing back kon el. While the new 52 was a mess I demand an answer as to what happened to that superboy
@megamanx181x, there's is an answer. He's been chilling in school, and then trapped in gemworld
@Qrow, it’s not the same superboy, that one in young justice is the old DC; I’m talking about the one from new 52 that is actually superman and Lois son
@megamanx181x, oh, right. On the note, what about alien speedster Bar Torr, or cassie's dramatic attitude and outfit chnage
@Qrow, ugh I hate it, bendis is cancer
Who's the younger super boy?
@Kskronz, idk forgive .e
@Kskronz, jon Kent, son of Superman and Lois
I find it funny how everyone says if they could be a super hero they would be batman, yet the first like 5 robins dont even wanna be batman.
Nightwing has been Batman, multiple times.
