I was legit worried when I saw Jaskier/Dandelion in the show, as i thought they were gonna fvck him up in some way. Then he dropped that banger and all was well.
@Proactive Citizenry , so is there a reason hes called jaskier in the show and not dandelion? I've only played the witcher 3 and only partway through reading the last wish so kinda wondering where the change came from
@that1german, Jaskier is his original Polish nickname, which translates to Ranunculus, a yellow flower. In English, we typically call Ranunculus "Buttercup". Since neither Jaskier or Ranunculus are at all flamboyant sounding than to an English ear, and Buttercup's the kind of name that would be seen as both childish and effemenizing (even to a character like Dandelion), the translator chose the name Dandelion to maintain the original name's intent while preserving the character's dignity. @Speedwagon, “toss a coin to your Witcher, oh valley of- P3NIS!” That’s my favorite scene of that song
I’d toss the salad of my Witcher. Is that the same?
