"This tea is nothing more than hot leaf juice."
"Uncle, thats what ALL tea is."
@NotOK, How could a member of my own family say such a thing?
Coffee is just bean soup.
Bitter bean extract is better than hot leaf juice
5 cups and I can hear colors.
@AJMalone, 6 cups and i can smell the color 9
If caffeine lets you talk to electricity, amphetamines make you become electricity, and ketamine turns you into the very fabric of space time that constitutes the electromagnetic fields we should thank for our existence....
Seriously, when’s the last time you thanked the electromagnetic field for holding all of everything together while also letting us see it too. Thank you electromagnetic field. Thank you
@orion55, Yea but im to poor and dumb to get ahold of Ketamine and use it safely so ill stick with energy drinks and vodka.
@LaDarkProphet, prescription** #thanksdoc
Tea does nothing for me unless there's scotch in it. And when there's no tea. Scotch. Scotch does something for me.
I am something of an authoritative source for coffee related opinions. Coffee is better.
Some people dont realize how badly coffee affects anxiety
@madeyoulook2, I know what you mean, I get nervous af if I don’t have caffeine at least 3 times a day
Watt? Ohm my God. MU you can't.
@dj evolve fan club, this thread has potential! It will be a charged conversation for certain.
Yeah but if you drink 100 cups of coffee you become the flash
And they both taste like garbage.
Spoken by someone who drinks both.
Tea has more caffeine then coffee
@bobbylupo, Not always.
@bobbylupo, what kind of crappy coffee are you drinking?
That is usually false.
Come over, I'll make you a cup.
@mas2de, I don’t drink coffee but almost everyone that does tells me tea has more caffeine
There's more caffeine in tea.. why do people make coffee sound worse than tea for your heart.?
Uhhh what tea are you drinking cause I want in
@PottedPlant, any tea, especially black tea.
Cut and paste of ye olde internet follows..
Tea leaves contain 3.5% caffeine, while coffee beans have 1.1–2.2%.
I mean fair but there's no cup of tea that comes close to a cup of coffee. Maybe Yerba mate
@TheMightyImp, the absolute amount present in the plant is less important than the amount that becomes available in the prepared drink. If memory serves, coffee provides more caffeine in the consumed product than tea.
@TheMightyImp, quick Google for caffeine content
Coffee (~240 ml) contains ~100 mg of caffeine.
Black tea ~ 36 mg (almost every other tea is less)
*Some Matcha green teas ~130 mg/1 cup
So the only tea there that can compete is matcha green tea. Most common teas like black tea or Earl Grey can't come close.
@Hot Coffee, you are correct. My original thought was that tea isn't without its caffeine, and so shouldn't be seen as a safe alternative.
@TheMightyImp, that’s an important point. Only strictly herbal teas completely lack caffeine, even decaffeinated teas and coffee still have some caffeine.
