Can’t hide them forever.
Not a single major media outlet talked about the 16k+ students massacred in China for going to a school that had a student organization that opposed the government like 3 years ago. *sips tea* But I guess that’s none of our business huh?
@A Flying Panda, pretty much everything China does could be its own category
@A Flying Panda, Holy f*ck! Where/when was that?
@A Flying Panda, is there a specific date/event that was on? Not doubting you, I just need to know where to start researching if this happened or not
@that1german, the only thing I can find is the Tianmen Square massacre from 1989. It was reported last year by the BBC that the number of deaths was around 10,000 instead of the 241 originally reported by the Chinese gov’t
The only use of nuclear bombs in the use of warfare was Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which with death count from the initial explosions and the after effects of the last 70yrs adds up to about 226,000 deaths. More people died in Operation Overlord or D-Day, with 425,000 deaths not counting civilians. I’m not saying it wasn’t bad I’m saying it doesn’t exactly belong on the human atrocities board up there.
@TheCoolestBean, I definitely agree on the nuke part but I couldn’t help but post it due to how fitting it is with all the other events mentioned in the picture. I even regularly point out that Operation Downfall would’ve had a higher bodycount than the nukes. Either way, point works for the rest.
@TheCoolestBean, I think the major difference is that, innocent people were killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki as opposed to soldiers of war dying on D-day. Both still tragic, but one group had nothing to do with the War.
@marshMELO, on all fronts of the war civilians died including the beach landings. The Japanese people had everything to do with the war, they were fiercely loyal to the emperor and should the good ol US of A had invaded the islands they would have fought to the death. I think there are many misconceptions about the Japanese empire during the war. Sorry it took so long to reply I know I’m a bit late.
Rwanda was particularly bad from what I read, but i didn't read up on the others.
@ThePandaPool , Rwanda was some disgusting shjt, all of these are. Especially with you find out just how modern a good chunk of these atrocities are.
@ThePandaPool , I did some research on the Armenian Genocide and that one was pretty darn messed up. Instead of the Holocaust where they would systematically bring you to Camp to kill you here a lot of people died because they were told they were being moved and while moving all of the security just happened to look the other way when Bandits came along and robbed and murdered them
@ThePandaPool , You should take a look at Roméo Dallaire testimony, disturbing as hell. https://youtu.be/_W9TP3tWmJ4
@ThePandaPool , The Rwandan genocide was carried out with machetes and farming equipment on hundreds of thousands (even up to 1.1 million) of people and the UN didn't step in because it was an internal dispute
@WhyNotBoth, yup. Like I said, that's the only one i really looked into.
@ThePandaPool , Nanjing was perhaps the single worst atrocity ever committed by man; worse than Rwanda, Armenia, and the Holocaust put together. Sure, the numbers were lower, but numbers couldn't matter less. Think of the 10 worst ways to kill a person, and that's probably what would happen to you if you got lucky. Over the course of about a month, pretty much the entire city was raped, slaughtered, raped, butchered, shot, buried, and then raped again as if they were lower than what animals would've considered low. I'm getting disgusted just talking about it, do here's a video that goes more in depth. https://youtu.be/lnAC-Y9p_sY
@SqurtieMan, I dont have the heart for it right now, but one day I'll read up on it.
@ThePandaPool , not that many people do, that's perfectly understandable
I’m sure a lot of people probably died, but Holodomor sounds like a Lord of the rings character
@open name, it really does.
(It was a man made famine against the Ukrainian people by Stalin 1932-33, millions of people died)
@InsaneAnimeCleavage, classic Stalin, that little rascal
@InsaneAnimeCleavage, I know a few Russians that deny any Russian involvment, even though I had family that lived through it.
Gotta do some research, remember kids knowledge is power
Don't forget the Canadian genocide.
Thanks for putting the Armenian Genocide there. Many people are still unaware of it.
@The Science Stooge, There’s a sign on a freeway near my city that says “This way to Armenian Genocide.” It’s the only reason I know of it.
@The Science Stooge, doesn't help when fat fücks like Chunk Yogurt openly deny it
Congo genocide? You really have to "hand" it to Belgium.
Whoa whoa calm down Facebook
Spidy just killed everyone in that bus
Well, no on one cares about the runner ups
Dammit spidey! Stealing my kills!
