Don't mess with Texas.
@ Strider2k, thats right!!!
Conocí dos muchachas de Colombia y Chile. Estoy practicando mi español con ellas. Me gusta hablando con ellas! Aprender español es fácil con las personas adecuadas! 😏
@Slaybroham Lincoln, WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY GRANDMA?
@Slaybroham Lincoln, no digas hablando el prefijo adecuado es hablar el cual es en presente infinitivo de acuerdo?
Well played 'Merica well played
You know, I'm always a little amazed at America's ability to forget the sheer number of Hispanic Texanos that were involved and fought against Mexico.
@Adolf Jamaal Hitler, who forgot that. It's taught in Texas history
@knight of shift, and no where else in America
@J Suma, it attended school in three different states and all of them mentioned the Americans, the Texas, and the tejanos that fought
@Adolf Jamaal Hitler, first off it's Tejanos, second they would have been called Texians, just like their Anglo counterparts, until the war ended, and third it is taught in every Texas history class that Hispanic and Anglo Texians fought for their freedom against Santa Ana.
@jklyt1, I'm pretty sure both spellings would be pronounced the same, but okay.
@Adolf Jamaal Hitler, Texanos is spelling it wrong.
You mean the fight Mexico won because Texas can't fight.
@BearDaniels, Actually, the Texans fought well, they were just vastly outnumbered.
@venerable viking, a lost is still a lost. They fought bravely but were so close
@BearDaniels, 1800 Mexicans vs. 200 Texans. And although all of the Texans died, they took 600 Mexicans with them. Also don't forget about San Jacinto, we kicked serious ass.
@KermitSmash, we may have lost the Alamo, but at least we didn't have our main army destroyed in a matter of 7 minutes and sitting president later captured. Remember Goliad, Remember the Alamo
@Captain47, It didn't matter in the end, we still won our independence.
@BearDaniels, Dems fighting words
@TheDrunkBeerExpert, it was a tactical victory the Mexicans lost all of their experienced professional soldiers
@TheDrunkBeerExpert, Not in war, if you manage to at least weaken the other army to where they can't really fight anymore with only two hundred men, I believe that's a victory
@KermitSmash, New Mexico campaign and Santa Fe expedition where total losses for Texas. You had support from the U.S. In the war of independence. So wars fought solo by Texas your 0:2.
@venerable viking, I mean, they may have fought well considering, but that doesn't exactly make it wise to engage in an obvious suicide campaign to try to secure a mission with absolutely no tactical value. Especially not when Sam Houston himself condemned it as foolish.
@JJJSchmidt, it was a poor tactical decision but in the end was part of what led to the Battle of San Jacinto. If it hadn't been for the Alamo the Texians may have never just said, "Fvck it, time to stop running. Lets run up on these bjtches."
@BearDaniels, the colonies had support from France in the American Revolution. Does that mean the US never won their own war for independence?
@jklyt1, no I'm just counting wars won solo. If we're talking US wars won solo then yeah revolution doesn't count. Can't judge how good a fighter is if all his friends fight with him. So yeah by my count Texas can't fight a butterfly without getting its face stomped.
@BearDaniels, someone is just jealous his state isn't Texas 💪😉
@jklyt1, lol no I'm not jealous of racist, sexist, religious nuts with an ego bigger than their collective IQ.
@BearDaniels, woooowwww someone's an asshole, so all Texans are like that? Yes, because stereotypes are ALWAYS true right? Geez no need to act like a douchebag.
@jklyt1, Texans are douchbags. How can you say everything is bigger and Texas is so awesome when Texas is so ass backwards and messed up. I mean the Texas school board try's to re-write history to make Texas look better. I don't see how Texans justify their ego.
@BearDaniels, on a serious note, I know Texas isn't perfect but she's my home. So don't be surprised when I tell you to fvck off for talkin shjt.
@BearDaniels, sounds like a very uneducated statement
@BearDaniels, and have you ever been to Texas? Or are you just talking about what you heard?
@BearDaniels, so Texans aren't allowed to be proud of their state? If I recall correctly Houston was one of the first cities to legislate anti LGBT discrimination laws. Like I said no state is perfect but if you're just gonna talk shjt my home, then fvck off.
@BearDaniels, now I'm curious what is your state?
@jklyt1, cool, just stay out of my state and I'll happily stay out of Texas.
@jklyt1, guess. I'll give you a hint. Nobody likes Texas in my state neighbor.
@BearDaniels, New York, Oklahoma, California? Come on man you gotta be more specific, we're aware we have enemies, bro. Lol.
@jklyt1, now your calling me bro but I bet once you figure it out you'll start attacking my state. My state beat yours in the civil war.
@BearDaniels, I call everyone bro, calm your tits. And a lot of states fought for the Union in the civil war that still doesn't really narrow it down that much. I'd guess New York but you already shot that down sooooo what New Jersey, Connecticut? None of these are really hints man gimme something good.
@BearDaniels, Hey Bear, your generalizations are making you look like an idiot. I don't like the general culture of Texas any more than the next guy, but to suggest that everyone there conforms to the stereotype is asinine on its face.
@BearDaniels, 1. oh really. I guess you know this because you are from Texas and on the board? 2. the saying because we are the second largest state, but no one really lives in Alaska so who cares. 3. if we are so ass backwards please tell me how we are a economic icon in this nation while the rest of it is crap. 4. To call every Texan a douchbag is really stupid/shjitty on you. 5. We are proud of our state and if you or who ever else don't like it, yall may all go to hell.
@BearDaniels, Correct me if i'm wrong, but you sir, you're not from Texas are you?
@BearDaniels, Well, we are dead serious about our right to bear arms.... just sayin'....
@the real Iron Man74, 1. Your school board mays news headlines every other month for something dumb the propose. 2. The saying is everything is bigger IN Texas. Not the state itself is biggest. 3. It's easy to make money when you steal hunks of land from other states while threatening to secede. Which you did anyway when you went confederate. Like think you should have to give it back since you lost the war. 5. Go ahead and secede again so the rest of the country can send you to hell.
@ITGeeneeus, you can't have my arms. Lol levity
@BearDaniels, explain #3 because that really makes no sense
@Ghett0Chicken, which one were you saying hoorah to? I'm confused without the context haha
@jklyt1, I believe he was referring to most of them. Probably all of them.
@BearDaniels, 1. Ya our education comes up with pretty stupid shjt, but they don't try to alter history lessons. 2. The saying DID COME from being the second largest state. 3. I don't don't even have a response to justify that stupidity. 4. Don't know where you put it. 5. Good luck with out us.
@BearDaniels, if you guys are still curious where I'm from. Here's a big hint in the form of a joke: Q: why is it so windy in New Mexico? A: because f*k Texas. That gets lots of lols in my state. Hating Texas is just a matter of state pride for us. So go f*k yourself neighbor.
@BearDaniels, Love thy neighbor as yourself...
JK I'm not Christian. Nonetheless, that's f*cked up. Jokes at our expense are okay, everyone does that, but to actually believe them is another thing.
I don't really think this should be a point of pride for us. We kind of just took Texas from Mexico because the Mexican government at the time allowed Americans to live inside the territory which led to us feeling like we somehow owned it. Then when a large Mexican army came to drive us out at the Alamo, we refused their offer to literally just leave peacefully. Somehow that made all the fools there martyrs, hence the phrase remember the Alamo.
@Euler, are we forgetting that the US did not gain Texas after the war? Are we forgetting the sovereign Republic of Texas? Are we being a little bit biased? Oh no its just you.
