Anyone else cancel their subscription over this?
@Boomhauer, I really want to but I gotta see the next season of Dark Crystal Age of Resistance. Also The Office is still on there for a few more months
@Boomhauer, I can't cancel because I don't pay for streaming services to begin with, I sail the seven seas 🏴☠️
@Swagnamite, yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me
@Boomhauer, nope. They didn’t make it, I didn’t watch it.
I’m interested to see if they get forced to take it down though, because I heard it has child nudity in it. And I’m waiting to see if Netflix gets charged with distribution of pornography featuring minors, because most people are saying it’s supposed to make them look sexy. So that’s straight up distribution.
@Boomhauer, I canceled after they canceled their Marvel shows.
@Sir Borksalot , they didnt cancle marble shows. Marble got bought by disney and put on disney + they were forced to. It wasn't a choice.
@FaceGhost, I canceled, but still have the subscription until Oct 3 because I paid for this month already
What's going on?
@TurtleBlink, basically netflix made a show about a muslim girl who "goes against" her parents and joins a twerking team for 12 year olds
@Beggar Mugger, any 12 year old joining a twerking team is doing it to "go against" their parents wishes... except the 600 girls who's parents forced them to audition for this show.
@The Great Skele, plus the hundreds more who sent in video of their kids. I’m sure they made a metric shït ton of money from filming those auditions.
@Hot Coffee, it was something like 6 months of auditions, with about 650 11-year olds auditioning for them. Of course, they were really lucky and found the star at the last minute. It couldn't have possibly been that they are perverts that used it as an excuse to watch hundreds of little kids dancing in near-nudity.
Physically no, mentally tons of damage
They said it won a Sundance Film Festival award. I wonder if it won before or after one of the co-founders got sentenced for child pornography?🤔
@DaSchlappah, is that a true story? And if so, do you have the article I could check out? I’m not so much doubting this as I am interested in looking further into this great irony.
@Chief Poundserhard, this is one that I found. https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/people/2019/04/30/sundance-film-festival-co-founder-pleads-guilty-sex-abuse/3632542002/. My bad, it was sexual assault, not child pornography.
@DaSchlappah, but it WAS sexual assault to minors (5th paragraph), so you were kinda right. Not surprised this won Sundance awards at this point. However, from my understanding of the movie, it’s to reveal the exploitation of these underage girls, but I’ve never seen the movie and will never see the movie; but I think it completely misses the mark, from what I’ve heard, so it glorifies rather than condemns. So I can’t really have a debate about the morality of this movie having not seen it, but anything involving the sexualization of children is reprehensible.
@DaSchlappah, thank you for dropping that link.
@Chief Poundserhard, happy to help Chief! Always looking for a polite debate about things going on, but have to agree, without context or info, there’s nothing to really talk about. Hopefully another time...definitely another topic.
Hulu has. Great variety too. 💁🏼♂️ I got a few weeks since my month renewed.
What else can that Muslim girl do wrong? Get stoned?
I smell sequel...
